Calcium Citrate Malate ?

Ok so Melissa and I were jabbering about this earlier and I thought I would throw the question out to you. Is this an acceptable form of Citrate or does it have to be just plain Citrate? I am looking for a calcium in a capsule. *hugs* Felicia

Because of the malabsorptive aspect of our new systems we should use the Calcium Citrate...not sure about the Maleate part. Ask your doc on that one. Susan, I believe the viactives are Calcium Carbonate which isn't as easily absorbed...I'd call your doc on that one too.

I am not sure but I am going to be looking into a new calcium citrate as well these Chews are for the birds. I also heard that there is a place that does calcium citrate in a powder form with no taste and you can add to drinks or food items. I will post the link below. The one I looked at yesterday was a 120 pack box (3 a day) for 12-13.00 for the box. I use the powder now its called UpCal D its AWESOME! (Dont get the plus version) I love love love it. But you have to mix it in something and some times it would be nice to just pop a pill lolol. Don't get the box of packets they are a pain in the butt lol go for the tub of it. It has a little scoop in it and is much faster to work with. Unless of course you are on the go alot then go for the packets. I have both. I put it in my coffee, tea ( doesn't totally dissolve but there is NO TASTE at all so whats a little graininess in the last sip if it doesn't taste lol), protein shakes. Basically anything. I also put it in my cottage cheese, ricotta cheese. Really anything. I have even put it in my Wendy's chili lol. LOVE IT! *huggles* Felicia
