What kind of pork do you want to make? Ribs, loin, chops? If you can give me an idea of that I can give some suggestions. My Mom makes a really great pork ribs with kraut in the crock pot. Also let me know if it is just something in the crockpot that you want to do. I have a really great turkey meatball recipe that can be addapted for a WLS recipe. Let me know. Melissa

It should probably be a loin/roast type of thing. It definately MUST be pork as it will be New Years Day and they ALWAYS have pork and kraut. I am thinking I can just season the pork ...put the saurkraut in first and then put the pork on top and let it go....but am willing to look for any new ideas someone has tried.

4-6# Pork Roast 1-2 pkgs Kraut drained Cook on Low for 6-8 hours and enjoy. This is kindof what my Mom has done. She browns the pork roast after seasoning it with just some salt, pepper, and garlic powder. She then puts it into the crockpot coveres it with the kraut...jiuce and all, and lets it cook throughout the day. Sometimes she will add potatoes as well so you could do that also if so just add more water than just the juice from the crock pot. The potatoes would be filling for everyone else and you could pick around them! Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 6-8 hours This is one that I found on line sounds pretty good. We may even try this one! I like top use the crock pot for this one. Put some kraut in the bottom, layer some onion slices, sprinkle some caraway seeds, add some chopped green apples, place the roast on top and then add more onion, caraway, apples and kraut (don't drain the kraut). Sometimes I add red potatoes also. Cook slowly! I hope this helps... Melissa By the way if you are interested I have a seasoning packet that is for crockpot pork by rival. I have a friend send me loads of it from SD where I lived for a very short time. I have not been able to find it anywhere else. All the seasonings are there and it is spectacular. Let me know and I will send you the name and or a package of it. It should get there in time if I send it tomorrow. Let me know I would be happy to do so!

Try Pork ( your choice) Kraut, some onion (to taste) and some apples. All in the crock pot. We do it with Chicken (beacuse I am allergic to beef and pork) and we love it. I usually serve it along side mashed potatoes topped with a spoon of sour cream Good Luck, Tara

Ok its not a Kraut type thing and its not cooked in a crock pot. But its SUPER yummy and takes no time at all from start to the table. Pork with Cabbage Slaw Prep: 25 mins Broil: 9 mins Makes: 4 servings ( EASILY doubled and tripled in the SAME cook time ) 1 tablespoon soy sauce 2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger 4 boneless pork loin chops cut 3/4 inch thick ( I used several different cuts all worked ) 3 tablespoons of rice vinegar 2 tablespoons salad oil 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil 1/8 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper 4 cups finely shredded Chinese (Napa) Cabbage 1/2 cup cucumber cut into matchstick pieces 1/4 cup radishes cut into matchstick pieces 1. Stir together soy sauce and ginger. Brush soy sauce mixture onto both sides of each chop. 2. Preheat broiler. Place meat on the unheated rack of a broiler pan. Broil 3 to 4 inches from heat for 9 to 10 minutes or until done and juices run clear. Turning them once halfway through the cooking time. 3. Meanwhile, for dressing, in a screw top jar combine vinegar, salad oil, sesame oil, salt and crushed red pepper. Cover; shake well. In a large bowl combine the cabbage, cucumber, and radishes. Add dressing; toss to coat. Transfer salad to a serving platter. Slice meat and serve with salad. 350 calories 18 grams of fat ( 5 grams sat fat) 92 mg chol 386 mg sodium 4 g carb 2 gram fiber 40 gram protein I have tons of pork recipes but nothing requiring a crock pot. Nothing I cook takes over 30 mins start to table lol so I don't even own a crock pot lolol. I am sure what ever you come up with will be yummy!!! *huggles* Felicia
