Just wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year
My name is Jane and I am 1year ahead of you guys. I thought I would drop a line to see how you all are doing? My journey has been wonderful. My heaviest wt was 311. My surgery was 10/17/05 I weighed 296 wore a size 28. This holiday I am 148-150 and wear a size 8-10. I am healthy!!!!I have had no complications. My labs are great. My exercise has slacked off the last couple months but that is due to some other female trouble, gravity you know. I just wanted to encourage each and everyone that the time flies by. Its like Christmas every month. Sure there are slow spots a long the way and foamies, and food issues, but everyday is a new learning experience. Hang in there and good luck to you all.

You hang in there. The family has a hard time dealing with the new eating habbits we make. I can eat sugar I choose not to. One time dumping puts you right in your place. Your family will be your biggest cheerleader once they see how much healthier and alive you become. I had the same problem but believe me this year was so much diffrent than last year. I made the holidays all about family and not the food. Since my surgery, both my sisters have had WLS and my niece. My niece is 7 months out and is at goal from 264 to 153. My older sister is 2mths out and down 40 and my younger sister had lap band 1 mth ago and is down 20 lbs. Everyone watched me to see how I did and then they all started the journey. Its been a lot of fun.
Good luck to you
Jane
