Soup's on!

Wish you were all nearby, to share it! I've been on a soup making binge the last few days, but now I have way too much soup! I'm giving some away and have some in my freezer. It should take me through the winter A few days ago, I made beef veggie soup, adding every kind of veggie I could find. Turned out really well. I added a few lentils too, for extra protein. Today, I made a soup of butternut squash, sweet potato, chestnut, onion, and pumpkin - also good. I'm wondering if it's too late to become a professional cook...I love trying out new ideas and I need new people to try them on! Lisa

I'll take some. Sounds yummy!!! I am getting so bad about cooking lately. It takes all I have to come up with something for my husband and kids to eat. I try to make something that revolves around some kind of protein and then make a side for the rest of the family to eat. I REALLY need to start trying some of these recipes on the board. I don't think it is ever too late to change careers or start one. If it is a passion, then go for it. Culinary school isn't that long to complete. Give it a try if you love it. Have Fun Cooking. MMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmm Sounds yummy!! I'm thinking about making soup tomorrow for Christmas Eve. Not our traditional fare, but hey, it's COLD outside and soup is just sooo comforting. And, why not make a career change? It's never too late!! Susan

Want my pot of split pea soup? It didn't sit well with me this time. I just can't bring myself to toss it. I guess I better before I regret not doing so. You beef vege soup sounds lovely. Aime

Cooking has become so much fun for me now too! Last night I made beef tips in wine and mushroom sauce....me...eating and LOVING MUSHROOMS! Who would have thought! Enjoy the soup!
