Anyone else on their 4th period since surgery?? I had my surgery on Oct 19th and started my (early) period on Oct. 22nd and today I have started my 4 period since then. I know that it has to do with a the estrogen being released from my fat (and I love that my fat is being released) but I jus thad to whine and complain. Thanks for listening, Tara PS Santa should have brought me a different RED suit for Christmas, I really have been a good girl!

OH man that would suck! Nope I am one of the freak ones. Everything is exactly on time. I had mine end the day before surgery and then they have been their normal clock work every since. So far... who knows whats coming though lol. Sorry for the Early Christmas bummer! *huggles* Felicia =)

Sorry no this has not happened to me either. I was not "regular" before but now it is almost like clock work that it comes around the same time. Sorry that you did not get the Santa gift you wanted. Hugs~~ Deanne

I am soooo sorry. What a raw deal for Christmas....ya never know maybe it will be gone by then. We will hope for ya. Mine has been pretty normal. Kinda. Started early in the hospital and I have had two since. Normal Nov and normal Dec. I know it is common though to have interuptions and extra though. No worries. Take care, Melissa

I am so sorry Tara that is a bummer. I wish I could help you but I had a hysterectomy in May then RNY in October but I hope that it all regulates soon for you have you talked to your doctor? My first concern would be that you could be losing to much iron bleading that often. Hang in there and hopefully it will get better real soon.

Hi Tara.... Wow, girl, your 4th since surgery? Like Lisa, I'm worried about your iron levels. My best advice is to contact your surgeon or PCP and speak with them about this. I know the estrogen levels can make things like this happen, but if it was me, I'd want to check into it. I know a few years ago, I had something similar happen and had to have a D&C - which took care of the problem. My GYN said it was a hormonal thing then too. Good luck! Oh, obviously, I haven't had this happen since surgery. My thoughts are with you. Let us know how you are doing if you do talk to the doctors about it. Susan

Tara, I can totally relate. The DAY I came home from the hospital I started...then a few weeks later, I started again...and a few weeks after that I started again...so I've had 3 so far...NOT FUN!!!!! And it seems they are heavier than usual. My doctor said it's normal...but I don't like it either. I think because I was so irregular before surgery my body is making up for it. But that's ok...it can quit anytime. When you say, "I know that it has to do with a the estrogen being released from my fat (and I love that my fat is being released) but I jus thad to whine and complain. "...I totally AGREE!!!!!!!! but I still don't like it. Hang in there. I feel your pain... Julie

Aw, Tara, that just stinks. I'm sorry that this is happening to you. NOT FAIR!!! I have been pretty regular lately. About 30-32 days, which is great considering I have PCOS and when I was TTC my cycles were anywhere from 45-90+ days. If only they would have been like this when I was TTC it wouldn't have taken me so long to get pg either time. I hope that the old hag leaves your house before Christmas. If this keeps up, you may want to check with your OB to see if you can get on BCP's to regulate you somewhat. 4 times in 9 or so weeks is an aweful lot. So, you have probably only not been on your period about 5 weeks since surgery. That sucks. Hope you still have a happy holiday. Hugs, Tabby

Thanks so much for all the replies!! I just wanted to whine and I wasn't really taking this seriously but it really makes sense out of something else. I have been so tired all the time! I really hadn't added up the fatigue with the bleeding but it would make sense that I may be low in Iron. I had a lot of trouble with my PCP. I have PCOS and when I went to my PCP for a script for the pill to help regulate me, the PCP told me that I only wanted it for cosmetic reasons or to cheat on my hubby! I almost died when he said that!!! In the past he would not refer me to a GYN and we can't get in to a GYN with out a referal. When I went to the PCP for WLS he told me to go home a do Aitkien's. Needless to say I only see him for hangnails! LOL My Lupus specialist was instramental in getting me the the WLS surgery. I will try her office next week to see if I can get a referal to the GYN then I will head to the PCP if necessary. Thanks again Ladies, Tara

Yikes Tara, What a horrible PCP!!! Is there any way you can change to a different doctor? I really hope so. This guy is horrible. Have you considered reporting him? All physician's offices are supposed to have a number where you can lodge complaints. Him saying you only want BCP for either cosmetic reasons or to cheat on your hubby was WAY out of line. Especially since you have PCOS!! What a jerk. I hope you are able to get some help with this from your Lupus doc. Let us know how you are doing! Oh...and are you getting in enough B-12? Deficiencies in your B vitamins can cause fatigue also. Just a thought...you might want to have your levels checked just to make sure you are where you should be on everything, especially Iron. Susan
