Thanks for the suggestions!!

Hey everyone!! Thanks for the suggestions on where to go and what to eat tonight for our anniversary. We ended up at AppleBees and I ate the shrimp skewers. YUM-O!!! And, I brought home the remainder so I'll be having shrimp again tomorrow....IF I can keep the kids out of them, that is. Susan

Thanks Melissa. We had a great time and did lots of talking about how we will celebrate next year and what I'll be able to eat then. Poor guy, he kept offering me things to eat, drink, etc., and I had to keep reminding him that I can't have those things anymore. He felt so bad because he thought he was tempting me! I had to explain I don't want those things anymore, so it was an easy thing for me to say "no". Oh!!! I didn't tell you about my gift. After 15 years, he's finally learned to let me pick out my own jewelry! So, I got to go get a new necklace (I wanted a new chain to go with the one I wear all the time) and a pair of ear rings. I got hearts to symbolize our marriage. They are BEAUTIFUL!! I'm so excited. Susan

I told you they were yummy! (love the Rachael Ray reference). Good luck keeping the kids away. The first time I tried them my 10 year-old nephew ended up plowing through a skewer right there at the rest. they never even made it home.

You were sooooo right Patricia!! Thanks again for the suggestion. As for the kids, they are scared to eat them. I wrote on them "MOMS FOOD. Eat under penalty of DEATH." So far, I still have them. Susan

Sounds yummy!! I had a bite or two of the Bleu Cheese Sirloin from there last night. YUMMY!! And their roasted garlic mashed potatoes are to die for lolol. Glad you found something you could eat!! Hope you had a lovely evening. *Huggles* Felicia =)

MMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....I LOVE their potatoes. I had a bite of my hubby's just to enjoy the flavor for a moment. Then I was a good girl and went back to my shrimp. Oh, and I did have a bite of his steak. He cut off a regular bite for him and I turned it into 4 for me. Yes, we had a great time. After we ate, we drove around looking at Christmas lights for a while, then did the remainder of our shopping (had to buy the kids gifts from their grandparents) and then we picked up the kids to look at lights in our neighborhood. It was a great evening. Susan
