UGGGGGGG WATER!!!!!!
Ok so I am trying to get back in the routine of getting my water down...
I am 16 ounces in for the day so far and shooting for 64 ounces of jus****er!
(I don't count my protein drinks or anything else in to my fluids but PLAIN water.)
How about you all? How are you doing on getting your fluids in for today????

I have issues w/ water too - though I do count my sf drinks (but not protein shakes).
Today I have had one 16.9oz bottle of water (though I may have had 1/4 of that last night - I can't remember). I have also had 1 1/2 glasses (16oz) of sf orange drink mixed with water.
I will try to get another bottle of water and some sf fruit punch down before bedtime.
And you inspired me - I just filled my big old glass with some reg. water (ok, it's 1/2 full) and I'll try to get it down before I leave work in the next hour.
See this is my problem with "fluid rules".
For dehydration yes all fluids count towards it.
BUT
For kidney "keeping it working with out the stones" stuff lol the clearer the better.
Its hard...
Personally I try and get in enough fluids in a day to prevent dehydration BUT on the same token I try to get enough clear plain liquids ( water ) to clean the kidneys out from having to work so hard to process the fluids in the protein shakes etc...
I am probably completely off base on how all that works lol but hey its my theory and I am stickin to it! lmaooo
I have to stop drinking by 9pm or I am up all night lmaooo unless of course I haven't gotten enough in during the day *sigh*.

Bless your heart if you can do plain water. It does not like me anymore. Has to be mixed with soemthing. I drink diluted juice of any kind. Like 1/4 juice to 3/4 water. It is the only way that I have found to get all my fluids in. I know juice is supposed to be bad but it has not affected me so far . Plus if I try anything else it jsut does not get down. I can handle ice tea also but I only like it from the restaurants.

At first I had to drink it with a heavy dose of lemon in it lol. But eventually ( about a month out ) I can drink it straight but it has to be ice cold. I usually just throw a tea bag into the cold water n ice for a bit of flavor or some lemon but I do try and do as much as I can plain.
That would BITE not being able to drink plain water. But from what I have read that is very common.
Wonder why? Seems strange we can add things to it with no problems but can't take it plain. *shrug* the pouch proves its mystery once again lololol.

I just can't get in plain water. Sometimes I will take little sips but it still seems to hit my pouchy like a razor blade. If you have ever swallowed a full ice cube, that is how it feels to me.
I do drink crystal lite and sf iced tea. I drink decaf hot tea as well. I try for a 4oz glass of milk everyday too.
I try but I never get any where near 64 ounces of fluids a day.
The good news is that with everyday, I can drink a little more and I see the difference in my skin and hair.
Take care

I'm doing much better with fluids since I stopped trying to get used to Crystal Lite and other artificially sweetened stuff. I couldn't deal with plain water right after surgery. Before surgery, water was about 98% of what I drank. A few weeks ago, I started forcing the water down again and, as long as it is ice cold, I'm fine with it. Sometimes also have ice tea, which I've made, just teabags and a squeeze of lemon.

I have one bottle of Crystal Light a day but usually only after I try and get my water in ( its like my treat lol ). My pop machine is full of them lolol. Makes me feel like I am getting something I shouldn't. *head games* Pre surgery though I was a Sam's Choice Water drinker by the gallons lol. Now I try and avoid Aspartame like the plaque if I can.
