Repeating to myself "I am not failing I am not failing" lol Thanks!!! I could see 10-15 lbs a month but I had to read the email several times to see that she meant a week! "As far as an average weight loss people who have had gastric bypass in the first 6 months can loss 10-15 a week if they are exercising, people who have had adjustable banding loss about 1-5 lbs a week in the first 6 months." Thanks so much for your reply!! *big hugs* Felicia =)

Just keep repeating that to yourself!! You are a success!!! Always and forever!! Keep smiling my WLS/Flybaby twin!!!! BTW, I almost died when I saw what she wrote!!! I'm with you, will she share those drugs? I'd love to ONE week lose that much....but I don't want to have to deal with the saggy skin afterwards. Enough of me is already going south without having to deal with losing THAT fast. Susan

My doctor also says that 10-15 pounds a month is good. So don't worry. I average anywhere from 2-5 a week. As long as you are loosing don't worry.

Damn, Felicia, what drug is your counselor on??? The literature from my program says that average for the first three months is .5 to 1 pound per day. BUT then you have to take in to account your BMI, how much you have to lose, all sorts of things. Now, back away from the fudge (unless it's sugar-free!), wipe your pretty eyes, and give yourself a hug from me. You're doing just fine. Lisa

Hey, Felicia...first off, thanks for the nice card today. It was sweet of you. Second...I agree with the PP's...what kind of drugs is your counselor on? 10-15 lbs a week is INSANE!!! Even for the first month. That would put you at a 40-60lb lose per month. NO WAY, JOSE!!! NOBODY can do that...I don't care how much you have to lose. That had to be a typo. You are not failing at all. You are doing GREAT!!! Keep up the good work. Five pounds in a week at this point is great. That is like 20 lbs a month. Amazing!!! Thanks for all you do and for being you!!! Hugs, Tabby

Ditto. When I saw the NUT last week at my weigh in she said 10-15 lbs per month. I lost about 10 lbs over the last month. Just remember that this is a busy time of year and your nut most likely was thinking month when she typed week. You don't have to pass the fudge to me. I have absolutely no cravings for chocolates at all. Smile Enjoy the new day. Aime
