Just found you guys...

Hello All I have just found this board by reading about it at the bottom of a post on the main board. I had no idea it existed until now. Let me introduce myself. I am Tara, married 15 years (almost) and I have 2 great kids. I got my life back on October 19th. I had Lap RNY in Toronto with Dr Sullivan. He is a brand new WLS doc and I was his very 1st patient. I have lost a total of 48 pounds and my BMI has dropped from 47.7 to 39.7. That means I have gone from morbidly obese to just Obese. I hit that milestone on Thursday. I also had my first WOW moment this week on Friday. I was shopping and my pants wouldn't stay up. It was driving me crazy, so I went in to the store and I bought a size 20 and I wore them out of the store. I was wearing my size 26 pants from pre-surgery. I was very excited about the size changes because I have been worried about, what I felt, was a slow weight loss. I am looking forward to checking this place out more often. Take care; Tara

Welcome to the board. The support we ger here is awesome. 48 lbs is wonderful. I had my underwear fall off one days while I was walking into work. Embarrassing but cool also. Keep up the good work. Aime

Welcome! Congrats on the weight loss. I've been averaging about 2 weeks per pants - size...It does get to be pretty funny when they are way too big and your walking around w/ safety pins holding em up!
