Cajun Barbecue Shrimp 2 pounds medium unshelled shrimp 1/3 cup butter 1/3 cup olive oil 8 cloves of garlic, minced 1 cup chicken broth 2 tablespoons lemon juice 2 tablespoons snipped fresh basil ( I used dried ) 4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon finely snipped fresh rosemary 1 1/2 teaspoons crushed red pepper 1 teaspoon paprika 1. Rinse shrimp; pat dry with paper towels. In a 12-inch cast iron or heavy skillet melt butter. Add oil and garlic. Cook and stir over medium heat for 1 minute. Add chicken broth, lemon juice, basil, Worcestershire sauce, rosemary, crushed red pepper, and paprika; bring to boiling. Reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, over low heat for 15 minutes. Add shrimp; cook and stir over medium heat about 5 minutes or until shrimp are opaque. Transfer shrimp and juices to a deep serving platter. Nutrition Facts Per Serving: Prep: 10mins Cook: 21 minutes Makes : 8 servings 255 cals 18 grams fat ( 6 grams sat fat ) 151 mg chol 432 grams sodium 3 grams of carbs 0 grams of fiber 18 grams of protein My twist: Normally I would cut this whole recipe down to 1 serving but this sauce is AWESOME on lots of different meats so what I do is make the whole batch of sauce ( keeps well ). Then I used precooked shrimp that I heat up and just spoon a bit of the sauce over them or dip them in the sauce. This was really good on chicken and pork also. I didn't try it over fish but I don't see why it wouldn't go over a mild white fish easily to. Enjoy!! *huggles* Felicia =)

About 1 oz is about 8 grams of protein give or take depending on what source you check lol. I have a soup for tomorrow then thought I would give some chicken recipes a whirl for next week unless some other type of meat sounds good to try first. Glad you are liking them. This sauce smelled so good that it even enticed my husband to try a bite of crab dipped in it ( he would never try crab before ). I had King Crab for lunch. 1/4 of ONE leg LMAOOOOO It was so good though. I will be eating crab for days, I hope it will keep in the frig that long. Do you know if we can refreeze seafood? probably not.. *hugs* Felicia =)

Sure you can freeze crab. BUT I would get frozen today what you think you need to freeze. I was so excited to eat shrimp....a little bumbed that I could not even eat three of them Oh well...more for later I guess. I need to look through recipes and really think what I have made that other people might like. I seem to be vcery simple these days with really cooking so little. With both of us eating WLS style there is no one to eat leftovers and after a week the same thing gets pretty dang old LOL. Can;t wait for the soup....Fred loves soup! Hugs, Melissa
