I am a dork.. But...(Mushy moment)

I cant help it. I am so excited over the card exchange lol. Ok so I need a serious life but I have spent the last 5 years basically stuck in my house ( long boring story wont bother you with it). And when the moment came that I could get back out there in life and live well it wasn't as simple as I thought it would be... I found that what friends I had have long since gone. And I had put on so much weight that I had a HUGE emotional barrier that kept me from turning the door knob to even go and do the simplest things like grocery shopping etc... ( I have a wonderful hubby that does it *sigh* but he informed me that was over lol) To be honest I am having a bit of a fear attack of having to re learn to live "out there". So for me this exchange is like taking a baby step "out the door". It makes me have to go out there and shop for card stuff ( no way I can get hubby to shop for craft stuff lmao) . It makes me have to go out there and start interacting with the "real" world even if it is via snail mail. Don't laugh to hard I told you I was a dork lol. But I just had to say thank you to everyone who is participating. You will never really know how much it means to me. I mean lol not that you all are doing it "for me" but well you know what I mean lol. Ok dorky mushy moment over. Back to your regularly scheduled show... *huggles* Felicia

((((Felicia)))) hey we are here in the same boat you could say....I hated to go out shopping or doing anything because I hurt so much when I walked!! I would also wheeze with getting short of breath....So you are now weighing less and you are now able to move better and what a better way to get some new exercise??? Out of the house activities!!!! I am glad that we all can share our "dorky" moments with each other and also take those baby steps in life to really living again. We are all going to be going through this sometime or another, some sooner than others but we are all here and will get through the "living" again part. I so agree!!! I would be lost right now with out this board. I dont mind so much posting on the RNY and Main boards but I feel more at home here with people who are going through the same things at the same times pretty much. *huggles* Felicia =)

I feel that the main board I tend to get lost more and some of the stuff on there just does not pertain to the things that we are going through right now. Maybe in the future but just not right now.

I so agree. That and there is a high risk of being jumped on if you don't post what is "acceptable" lol. I think EVERYTHING that we are going through is "acceptable" and the only thing no acceptable is the nasty replies some people post. It doesn't matter how smart or dumb or what ever the post is about. Some felt it was important enough to post about and put themselves out there for it. I wish I could blame it all on the pain of movement lol but sadly 90% of it had nothing to do with the pain *sigh* But hey thats the past right!! We are looking forward only!! FORWARD MARCH....EYES STRAIGHT AHEAD AND NEVER LOOK BACK!!! THE WEATHER HERE IN MICHIGAN IS CRAZY ALSO!!! BUT I CAN WALK OUTSIDE WHEN ITS NICE LIKE THIS!!! I TAKE MY LITTLE DOG AND HE LOVES THE WALKS!!!! BUT AROUND WHERE I LIVE IT REALLY ISN'T SAFE TO WALK...NEVER KNOW IF THE GANGS WILL START SHOOTING AT EACH OTHER....I AM TRYING TO FIND A WALKING PARTNER FOR THE CENTER COURTS TO WALK THEIR TRACK INSIDE....AND ITS FREE TO DO THAT!!!!
