As some of you are aware of my limited eating and the that I have had to deal with the past few months. I decided to step out of my normal last night and ate something "new" I have a salad with turkey pieces on it cheese and some salad spritzer. All went great with it and I did not even get the hurting feeling after eating like I 9 times out of 10 do. I am so happy that I could keep this down and it tasted so yummy. I also bought some small shrimp and was going to put that on there but did not know how to do that so they would have some flavoring. Any ideas on that one? As I might try that for dinner tonight. Hugs~~ Deanne

WOW thats super!! I tried a bit of lettuce a couple weeks ago and it was an ugly scene lol. Glad to hear it went down well for you!! That is just great!!! Are the shrimp pre cooked? If they are you can just toss them on and eat. I also like to just eat the shrimp with ****tail sauce or if I am feeling fancy I will toss a couple pre cooked shrimp in a pan with a bit of butter, red pepper flake and garlic. YUM! *hugs* Felicia =)

I had my doubts about the lettuce but it was uneventful this time around not saying that if I have it again I will get so lucky. lol I believe they are pre-cooked and then frozen again. They came in a bag I guess I will have to check it out more but the butter, red pepper flakes and garlic sounds good. Thanks for the advise on the shrimp. Hugs~~ Deanne

Your welcome!! The precooked are the best cuz you can just take out a few, run them under cold water and poof ready to go lol. Glad the lettuce went down peacefully!! *huggles* Felicia =)

I am so glad that all went well with the salad, Deanne. It is great to find things that you are able to eat to change things up a little. I hope you can find more stuff that agrees with you. As for the shrimp, if you like shrimp ****tail, I shake some Old Bay Seasoning on my shirmp and let it sit in the fridge a while, then dip it in the ****tail sauce. I am DYING to try some kind of lowfat shrimp scampi to make. That's my favorite, or coconut shrimp is. MMMMmmmm!!! Miss the all you can eat shrimp at Red Lobster. Now I struggle to get down 6-8 shrimp. Thats a GREAT thing!!! Hope the salad treats you as well the next time you give it a try.

Hi Deanne, Glad all went well with your salad. I've tried lettuce a couple of times and so I have given up on actually eating a salad for a few more months at least. And, I have problems with meats (I'm not sure why) so I haven't tried shrimp yet. I've been looking at it at the grocery store though and making plans for some day far in the future. I love to cook it in a frying pan with some olive oil, lemon and garlic. YUM-O! Good luck with your eating. Hope the next trial of salad goes as well as today's!! Susan

I spent my 1st week of "real food" surviving on shrimp. Soooo good. My favorite is to heat up the shrimp w/ some fat free cooking spray in a pan. Drain off some of the liquid (but not all). Move the shrimp to a bowl. Toss some garlic in the pan..onions and peppers if you can tolerate them....then pour in a jar of salsa (lower sugar amount you can find). Heat it to bubbling and then put the shrimp (w/ some of the juice) back in and let it all heat through. I serve it to the boyfriend over rice, I just pick out the shrimp and eat them.
