What R UR Current Favorite Foods?
Thought this would be fun to see what everyone is eating since we are all pretty close to the same stages, give or take.
Right now I eat the following:
Wendy's Chili ( should have stock in this I eat it so much - about 4 oz of this )
Shrimp (my fav is in a bit of butter, red chili flakes, and garlic YUM! - I can eat 4)
Faux Mashed Potatoes - (don't forget the beano on this one!!)
Beets
Hamburger Helper ( without the pasta part. I just pick out the hamburger)
Steak
Jerky ( my snack savior )
String Cheese
Cheddar Cheese ( snack size)
Green beans
Cottage Cheese with just a tiny touch of Real Bacon Bits
I can eat most anything really.. I at least always try everything once to see how it goes...
To drink I like:
All kinds of herbal teas
ISOpure Ready To Drink Bottles
Crystal Light in the bottle ( putting off having to use the powder till I have to)
Water with a touch of lemon in it ( great for the kidneys )
I am also work on getting in a glass of cranberry juice a couple times a week to.
Only things I have trouble with are:
Chicken White Meat - to dry and I don't like things that are slathered in anything..
Tuna - not sure why on this but it was the only thing that just came right back up..
yogurt - don't know why on this one either but dang I was sick after eating it...
Sweets of any kind ( even sugar free ) Although I can get the sf cool whip down and some puddings once in a great while.
How about you all? What are you currently eating? What cant you stand?

Wow, you are allowed so much more variety and more volume than I am.

..Chix salad w/ lite mayo
..tuna w/ lite mayo
..calzone innards
..scrambled eggs w/ melted cheese
..chicken or turkey breast...need gravy or sauce
..ricotta creme yum
..string cheese
I'm getting bored!!!
Drinking
..crystal light, esp. the orange
..teas
..diet hot cocoa w/ sf redi whip
..dasani flavored waters
regular water hurts my pouch, not sure why.
I am looking forward to chili, shrimp, veggies, jerkey, beef...
LOL well its not like i eat all that in a sitting *grin*. My list is pretty long that I am "allowed" to eat. But I eat really anything I want. I am a carb addict so I try an avoid anything with high carbs in it ( please note I said high carbs lol not ALL carbs *grin*). I LOVE veggies so I eat those as I get them. (Thanks to beano lol) Looks like you have a pretty long list yourself there. I was told basically soft and moist and I should be set. Of course low fat and sugar free. I don't mind the sugar free but I do not do the low fat. I would rather have 1 bite of the real thing then a 1/4 cup of the low fat. But that is just me.
Regular water i**** and miss with me. Some days I can drink and drink and drink with no trouble other days it makes my wittle tummy super cranky *shrug* who knows why lol.

I find that I am able to eat most foods. Chicken that is dry however will send me running to really fast. As long as the foods are soft and moist I can eat it.
I discovered strawberry Atkins Protein shakes. All I had found before were chocolate and vanilla. I never thought I would say I was getting tired of chocolate. The strawberry is so good.
I like the Lipton Diet Green Tea
Fuze
Ocean Spray Diet juices especially the citrus flavor
I do avoid potatoes. They still seem kind of too heavy for me.
Fresh fruits like mango, pineapple and melons are to die for right now. I love them.
Has anyone else noticed that flavors seems so much better now?

Yup white meat chicken kills me off every way I have tried it. I hate it anyways lol so maybe its a sign *grin*.
I just tried the Ocean Spray Diet Cranberry and can barely get it down *sigh* I was so disappointed but seem to be doing well on the regular so here's hoping.
I LOVE potatoes lol but sadly I still have no mental stop on them and I over eat them so no potatoes in our house.
YES! Flavors are so intense now. Its really nice actually, to have to take the time to eat lol it forces us to actually TASTE our food for once *grin*.

Jeez, you do have a variety there! At nearly 4 weeks, I am still on pureed foods. My faves are:
- cream of asparagus soup, made with skim milk
- cottage cheese blended with crushed pineapple
- NSA Fudgesicles
Everything else I can eat, even if it tastes ok, I'm really just tolerating to varying degrees.
Hate protein drinks.

I was on pureed for 4 weeks also. HATED IT! Only thing I ate for 4 weeks was KFC Mashed potatoes and Refried beans. Was never so glad to be moved to real food in my life. There was just NO WAY I was pureeing and then eating anything. Like one of the recipes I saw was to take and make "casserole type" foods in the blender. EWWW I like my foods separated on the plate lol.
I used to LOVE my protein drink. Now I have to just hack it down and get it over with. I just cant tolerate mentally anything sweet these days.
Cream Of Asparagus soup sounds good though!!

I never thought I'd manage pureed meats, but have blended chicken with mayo, chicken with tomato sauce, turkey with mayo, and turkey with FF gravy and mashed potatoes. Taste is fine, but I still have to force myself to eat.
Last night I over did the asparagus soup! It just tasted so good and all day nothing else seemed even tolerable to me. It didn't come back up, thank goodness, but it sat there for a long time and it didn't feel good!

OMGOSH isn't that the WORST feeling in the world when you have that 1 to many bites. I swear I feel like I am going to die lol. My chest hurts so bad. Most times up it comes and WHEW it feels so much better but some times it just stays there and I have to just wait it out while suffering from what feels like sheer death lol.
Nope I just couldn't do it. I am a texture person all the way lol. I was super glad when that month was over lol.
