Help?? I want to hold my baby grandson

Does anyone know the weight restrictions? My little grandson weighs 27 lbs and is 9 months old and I want to start back taking care of him again. I had surgery 10/17. Don't know when I can lift that much weight. Called dr's office and they are out for a few days.

Don't know about your DR. But mine gave me a 10# limit for six weeks. Hope that helps.

My youngest is 7 months old and weighs 18 pounds. My surgeon told me I can lift him but nothing heavier than 20 pounds for at least 6 weeks. It's best to find out what your doctor recommends. Good luck! - Jeannette

At my 2 week checkup yesterday I was told I could increase the limit from 15 lbs to 30lbs. I had surgery on 10/16 and had laproscopic gastric bypass... hope that helps.

6 weeks is what I have heard too! but do check with your doctor, I overdid it with laundry one day and I felt it the next day. I know the feeling, my grandson is about 22 lbs too! Well, just think as you loose weight, you will be able to way more than just hold him..you will want to play with him and run around iwth him..how fun!!
