October 16th surgery Just checking in

So I'm a week post op today. Everything is going pretty well. The only problem I'm having is some major nausea after drinking my protein shakes. Does anyone else experience that? How are my other october 16thers?

Hi, I also am from the 16th and have done very well till today . Started running a fever, went to the dr and have an infection in one of my incisions...He had to re open it, drain all the infection out and pack it with medicated gauze...Now a home health nurse has to come out dailly to change the dressing...Otherwise have been doing great...walking daily and getting all my protein and liquids in...So just kind of bummed from this... Good luck on the protein... Amy

Hi Melissa, I had my surgery on the 17'th but so far I have done good, I feel weak sometimes. I am having a hard time getting protein drinks that I like. But I felt the worst the day after I came home, I had "cold sweats" and felt I was going to pass out or vomit, not sure which was going to occur, but it passed after a few minutes. Hang in there we will do fine.
