Really guys, other than the gas I feel great!

Hi Catherine, I am glad you are doing well. Prayer made the difference in my recovery too. The gas can be a nuisance, unfortunately I have it mostly coming out the other end. Are you able to take Gas-X? My doctor told me to take it to relieve the pressure and it really does help. Elizabeth

Gas-x, hummm...my doc didn't tell me about that one. Nothing is comming out the other end for me; I swear it's backing up instead! Did you gain any water wieght after sugery? I have, almost 13#s. Pain wise, I'm not that bad but ohhhhh, I am bruised terrible. The bruising looks really weird because I have stretch marks from child birth and they show up white, like lightening on a black sky. LOL Hopefully this will be the only sunday I'll miss at church, I miss singing his praises! Catherine

I had diarhea for a few days after surgery and when that let up, I started adding a couple of teaspoons of Benefiber to my protein shakes and liquids. I did have the water gain, which is normal for any major surgery, but it went a way in a few days. The bruising is probably from the blood thinner they put you on. I didn't have too much bruising. You should take pictures of your lightning streaks to have as a humorous memory! Elizabeth
