I have been approved by the insurance and have been reading alot on the forum and I need to know what PB stands for? I don't like reading the negative posts and neither does my friend who is having lap band too along with me. We need to know what that means. Please help. Thank you Jackie

Hi Jackie I am sorry you have been getting negative post. I don't know what PB means either unless someone is talking about peanut butter. Speaking of peanut butter, is the crunchy kind okay to eat in the mushy stage? Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth, I don't think it means Peanut butter and I don't think after surgery any kind of Peanut butter should be eaten unless perhaps its sugar free. I could see peanut butter clogging up and that's not good. Hope someone answers the question I am very curious as to what it means and I am so serious about doing the right things so I don't have major problems.

I am not sure what it means either. Is it in your approval papers or something from the surgeon? I am curious now on what it means.

The comment about the crunchy peanut butter was a joke. And yes, some programs do allow peanut butter on the soft food stage. Elizabeth

I knew you were joking and I didnt post that to put you on the defensive, It was a serious question and I am in a serious frame of mind preparing to have this life changing surgery. I will be more in a joking mood when I am atleast 60lbs lighter and I don't have any pain in my hips and dont feel miserable in my clothes and not fatigued in the afternoon. I didn't mean to make you feel bad I just really want to know what PB means. Thanks for trying to lighten my mood. Jackie

PB is this...........Productive Belching which means some stuff comes up when you burp if you drink too soon after eating. I didn't realize all of us are new here and wouldnt know what that is so I went to the main MI board and they gave me the answers I was looking for. There are some really cool people on the main board and I made some friends there. This is a journey none of us should go at alone and we all need to help each other. I have also learned from the main board that each of us is different and if you have pain call your dr, you may tolerate some things better than others, its all trial and error. I don't have a date as of yet but they should call really soon, just waiting for scheduling to call. I am so ready. Praying for the people in surgery as I type this message and for those who just came home, may we all feel alive and free! You know what I mean, I have been trapped in this body fat for too long and I am ready to leave it behind. Feel free to add me as friend I am an internet junkie! Jackie SE Michigan
