Denial, approval and a date !!
Wow! I received one phone call on October 12 that my insurance denied and
the second phone call today that they approved the procedure.
I had a date on October 23 but was not sure that I would be able to go.
NOW I HAVE A DATE AND I WILL KEEP IT!!! ;-)
On Monday I will change my life forever. I am exited and scared at the same time.
I pray for patience and endurance.
And I am down 11 lbs! Oh my! Are you serious? I am having goose bumps from all the e-mails I have been receiving with prayer and best wishes from total strangers. I guess you are not a stranger anymore. Sure, lets keep in touch and pray for the better future.
I have a co-worker that when through this in May, 2006. She recommended this surgeon to me and she has been the G-d send to me. I am so grateful to her for introducing me to this web site, because I felt so lonely in my misery. I am not alone anymore. G-d bless everyone who went, go or will go through this.

Thank you for your kind words. I am having the gastric bypass. I did not like the Lap because I could not imaging to have something inside me after the surgery. At least, that what they told us at the orientation. Something (I don't remember the word for it)
that they need to tighten the lap in the future.
I am sorry, I am not trying to change your mind. I am sure that kind of procedure is working great too. It is just me.
All insurances are paying for it. It just has to be medically necessary.
