Anyone scheduled for Oct 23rd?

Hi, I heard from my surgeon's office (finally) and they have me scheduled for October 23rd, which is the day after my 36th birthday. I'm scared and excited all at the same time! Good luck to all of having surgery in October!

Hi there. I too am scheduled for Oct. 23rd. Just has my pre op tests this morning and got my surgery time = 7:30 a.m. I am first YAY!!!! I have to arrive at 5:30 a.m. which means up at 4:30 a.m. but well worth it!!!!! Best of luck and keep us posted. Diane Lap RNY 250/244.7/138

Oct 23rd is the day for me too! I will be the first at 07:15 a.m.. I am hoping all goes well and I can go home on the 24th. I will start my liquid diet tomorrow. I am going to have my favorite German Chocolate Ice Cream for a treat later on today. C ya all on the losing side! Best wishes, Mary

Hi Staci, I'm on for the 23rd, too. Can't wait! Everybody I tell is as excited for me as I am. I'm having lap band, so you'll all be skinny before me. So what! The main thing is we're all starting this journey and we're all going to do just great. Roni

Hi Staci: I'm having surgery on 10/23 also!! Just did all my pre-op labs and x-rays yesterday. I hope your surgery and recovery are quick and easy!! Angela

Hi, I am scheduled for Oct. 23rd also. I feel the same as you. I am nervous and excited. I read a previous post and they said that 'God will not bring you to it and not see you through it", I hope I got it correct. I have a great surgeon and I have complete faith in God. I have been praying and will continue to pray. Good luck to you and all who have had and who will be having WLS.
