October 24?? Anyone else??

Hi Marti, I am not offended by your questions. On my pump, I have basal rates set to give me a specific amount of insulin at certain times of the day. If my bg is too high I push some buttons on the pump to give me more insulin based on my correction factor. Elizabeth. Hope you are doing well in your recovery. I do understand about how the pump will allow you to set it to give you certain amounts of insulin. I wan just wondering if you still have to take your own BS's all the time to check your levels the regular way. Marti.

Welcome! My date is Oct. 23rd for Lap RNY. I don't have to fast. Just liquids on 10/23 and nothing after midnight. I guess I am lucky. They said that I will come home on 10/25 at 11:00 a.m. nothing like in and out. In our educational class 3 1/2 hours long) this morning they recommended a protein drink - The name is out in my car. Staci, do you have to do the liquid diet. I just started mine.I started early. My dietian talked me into it. so far it is not too bad. Shannon is also on liquid now. Marti

Hi Marti, Im scheduled for the 24th also. I started my 2 week full liquid diet on the 10th..how fun! LOL My surgery is at cleveland clinic in Ohio. Im just glad the time has finally come! Wow, you ARE lucky! AND like I said my dietician talked me into starting my Liquid Diet today, 12 days out! Yikes She said I would be so happy. I think the "so happy" comes much later. Where is your surgery? Be sure to keep us posted. Marti O
