Can I really do it?
I had my PreOp today for my surgery on Friday. After reading all the Post Op diet instructions, I'm scared I'm gonna screw up and end up not being able to follow the diet . I know I can for awhile but long term has me worried. I've been so psyched about it and not feeling inadequate until I saw it all in detail and in writing. Now I'm questioning myself. Any suggestions?

YES YOU CAN!!!!!
If you think positive, you can accomplish anything. Follow your surgeon's instructions and your phase diets. You can do it. It is hard, I won't lie, but being only 5 days out, I have already moved on to soft foods. You can do it. Get a support group or support system in line if you don't already. They are my backbone.
Best of luck to you this Friday.

Yes you can do it!! If you have made it this far do not turn your back now!!! I was a little timid on the diet thing before surgery and after surgery you get a hole new out look on things and you want to do it instead of feeling like you have to do it. I want to follow the diet and exercise program that my surgeon has planned out as I want to achieve at this and if you would of asked me that before surgery I probably would of given you a different answer. Email me if you would like to and I would be happy to help out.

I can relate. After my educational class this morning, I have the same feelings. But I did learn that we will try something that we probably shouldn't and 'Dump". We CAN DO IT! WE WILL ALL DO IT TOGETHER "OCTOBER" is OUR BIRTHDAY!! We are here to support each other. One day at a time. Think positive thoughts.

Laurie,
You can do this. My momma always said if you put your mind to it you will always reach the top. You have a goal. A goal to do youre life a good work of health. You will have ups and downs but dont look back because its whats in the rear that pulls up back. Look ahead and keep your faith and head up. Dont give up because you are in it to win it. Much love and support for you.
