I'm home!

I'm home and doing really well. I came home yesterday because I was taking in enough fluids, going to the bathroom well and passed the leak test, so I didn't need to stay the extra night. So far, the pain hasn't been that bad. The worst part was the nausea from the anesthesia and drinking that stuff for the leak test. I recommend trying to walk as much as you can at the hospital. I went for 2 walks the same day of surgery and I think that's helped a lot.

Welcome home Jeannette! I am home too. That leak test was horrible. I kept telling the radiologist that I was going to vomit and he kept saying "no you're not, I can see that it is staying down and passing through beautifully." I did a lot of walking in the hospital too. When my friend came to see me the day of surgery I suggested she walk with me. After I had the leak test and I could drink, walking felt better than trying to drink water and protein. Elizabeth

The leak test wasn't bad for me at all. It was a white fruit smelling stuff. Kinda reminded me on Malanta. I was just scared to drink forthe frist time. The thing I'm not looking forward to taking the staples out on Tuesday though.
