Where are all the Oct. 2 & 3 folks?
Wow, Susan I hope you are not pushing yourself too hard! Back to work in too days, even for a half day, may be too soon. Please try to get plenty of rest. I don't like to stay in bed all day either, and I'm not. I have been walking and puttering around the house on the rainy days. Yesterday I went out for a 3 hour stroll through the mall with my sister, and today I went to church, took a nap and then went for a little walk outside.

susan,
congratulations on your surgery. i'm going in oct. 17th. sounds like you are doing ok. how long were you in the hospital? i'm planning on taking only a couple days off b-4 returning to work. it's a sit down job close to a bathroom! i'll just go in an hour or so a day just to keep up the basics. i have to be back for my end of month closing. my boss is great. i'll take all the time i need b-4 going back full time. everyone says they are pretty weak and tired in the beginning.
did you have a probs in the hospital? what was the recovery room like? how did they test for leaks? my doc says he does that in surgery so i figure i'm not drinking something. many people say they have to test for leaks the next day by drinking some sort of horrible liquid.
well, keep up the good work and positive attitude.

Margaret,
I was in the hospital for less than 24 hrs. I'm assuming my dr did the leak test during surgery because I didn't have one after (I'm going to ask today). I am pretty weak but need to get out of the house or I will tend to sleep too much. I am working half days and will do it again next week full days are just way too hard right now. My main issue is being nausiated all the time I'm hoping the dr will give me something for it. I dry heave too much because of it. In the hospital they gave me something in my IV to help me out but since I've been home I haven't had anything. I don't remember being in the recovery room at all I was pretty tired the whole day and night (my surgery started at 7:30 ish and my husband didn't get to see me until 2ish and I had him leave early because I just wanted to sleep. I had a hard time staying awake when my parents and daughter came three hours later.
I wish I had a eye cover and ear plugs because I didn't get to go to a normal room and it was loud and bright.
I hope this helps.
There they all are
Great to see you all!!!!!! Welcome to the losing side.
I had to go out and get a new scale for my home. I used to use the one at Curves, but I won't be there for over a month now. I stepped on it to see. Well, I know that I am retaining water and very gassy still. I weighed in 5lbs more than I was before surgery lol.
I can't wait to start losing Keep us all posted as to how you are all doing. I know that I will need advice and can share some if needed. Sipping is hard to do but i'm getting the hang of it.
