I came home around 8 pm on Thursday and went right to bed. My surgeon said I was doing so well with my liquid intake and walking that I didn't need to stay the extra night. I feel a little sore but otherwise I feel pretty good. How is everyone else doing? Elizabeth

Elizabeth, I am glad you are doing so well, and home already! It is great to hear a sucessful surgery story, I will be right behind you. I don't have surgery till the 25th, just going to start the liquid fast on wed. Keep up the walking, and sipping, and I know from what I read that you will have a great recovery! Ann

Thanks Ann! If there is any advice that I can give you it is this: get some clear liquid protein such as Profect or New Whey and take them to the hospital with you. It is much easier to tolerate than the thick stuff the hospital provides. You can also take some unflavored Unjury and mix a few spoonfuls in your warm broth and tea. Elizabeth

I'm doing pretty good too! I'm also a little sore and it's been a little tough trying to get 3-4 ounces of liquid down an hour. But other than that, I feel darn good. How are you doing with your fluid intake?

Hi Jeanette! I am glad you are doing well too! I don't think I am getting 3 oz an hour but I just keep sipping or taking tiny bites of jello (yummm jello). I have a hard time with the thick protein shakes but I can handle the clear ones like Profect.

don't forget chicken broth and sugar free popsicles. OMG they are so good. Who knew such simple things would make us so happy

I am semi-vegitarian so I like vegetable broth better. Warm drinks go down much better and since it is getting cold here, I haven't had much interest popsicles. Elizabeth
