Girdle after surgery??

My surgery is Tuesday and I was wondering if the skin on my stomach (the majority of my excess weight is there) might be helped by some type of girdle or "shapewear". I plan on exercising of course, but any thing else that would help me avoid additional surgery in the future would be great! Has anybody had any experience with this? Thanks!

When I was in the hospital, the doctor prescribed a binder. Its like a girdle and only fits around my middle -- hips to breastbone. I'm not sure if this was standard issue. I had open surgery after they tried the scope surgery. Anyway, ask your doctor about it. So far, it has helped me tremendously to "keep my insides from falling out". Good luck.
