cancelled Oct 2 surgery

My surgeon still does not accept my pshyc's eval. He says it's not complete enough and he doubts her ability. This is my pshyc of many years. Therefore I cancelled my Monday surgery. They want me to go to 'their' pshyc and pay $275 bucks. I just can't take their run around anymore. I will get their pshyc eval next week and be scheduled for sometime in Nov. I'm so sorry to hear that you had to cancel your surgery. Waiting a month isn't that bad. Now you'll be able to ask us questions about what we went through and know what to expect. I'll save a spot for you on the bench........

Evelyn I am so sorry that your surgeon is being a jack@$$ about your psych eval. Hopefully you can get an appointment soon and have your surgery rescheduled for a later date in Oct. As for the extra expense, save all of your medical receipts including prescriptions so that you can have an extra deduction on your taxes. I am going to try including my vitamin and protein receipts because they are a medical necessity. I am not an accountant so I don't know if it is legal. Elizabeth

I am so sorry you had to cancel your surgery. I was not allowed to choose which pshyc to go to. I was told, up front, you must be cleared by the pshyc they selected. It was no walk in the park. I must have seen her 4 or 5 times over the course of that many months before she was ready to give me clearance for the surgery. Suspicious me, I was beginning to think it was some kind of racket ($$$). But finally, she declared I was NOT mentally ill, and though I drink, I was NOT an alcoholic. Just give them what they want. It's all about jumping through all the hoops thrown in front of you. You WILL get there! It's their game...Play the Game. Good Luck.
