I am scheduled for surgery on Oct. 2 with Dr. Boyce. The pre-op diet has started and I feel great. I have not began to feel nervous just excited. I go for my pre-op on Monday. I can't wait.

It is going here. I went for my pre op labs and that stuff today. It was not to bad. I kind of got the nervous today but they have settled down now. I am excited as well. No real pre op diet of liquid which is nice. I do have some restrictions when we get closer to the date on what I can and can not eat but no 2 week liquid diet...Thank goodness. I have been watching what I have eaten. I have lost 15 lbs this month. YEAH!! I can't wait for the 2nd!!

I have everyhting done and I just have to show up at the hospital!!!!!! I did have my last visit before my surgery with my PCP and she kept telling me how proud she was on me and she went though all the changes I'll be seeing with my health, body and people aound me. She really did help settle any fears I had left. I'm on the 4th day of my liquid diet and it seems to be getting easier. My parents have s/f jello and s/f popsicles and boullion made so when I visit them this weekend. My parents also brought their new treadmill down to my house for me to use. I have a great family that's onboard 100% with this procedure. My mother will also stay with me over night since I want my Fiance to be home with are 3 dogs. They're my kids till I have some of my own....

I probably should give my PCP a call and let her know I am having WLS lol. I haven't been in to see her in more time then I darn admit but I know she will be happy for me. AWWWWWWW good parents!!! Isnt it great when they support us!!! WOW about the treadmill!! I have one but want a new one so bad. Its my 100lbs gone gift to me *grin*. I have 1 non furry child and 1 furry child lol. The non furry child will stay out with my mom and dad while I am having surgery ( WAAAAAAA 4 hours from home sucks big time ) my 1 furry child has to stay home lol But Mom will come in and check on him at least once while I am gone. He has a HUGE (8x7) covered run lol so he wont be suffering while we are gone. He is as spoiled as the non furry child. Felicia

You think your bad not going to the Dr's I hadn't had a physical for 10 years. When I finally went last Oct they tested for everything. I'm just glad I didn't have any health issues. All tests and blood work turned out good. My biggest proble with the Dr was being weighed. I really felt good going today and talking to my PCP and I know from now on that scale will read less and less weight. I think you should let your doctor know about the surgery that way they can help keep tabs on you bloodwork and anything else that you need taken care of. You also want to tell the Dr about any rashs that you get with the extra skin or sagging. This will help when you want PS. If it's a health risk your insurance will help pay for it.

Yikes! You win!! Last time I went was the fall of 2003. We actually talked about the surgery then but I said no lol "I could do it on my own" ROFLMAO who was I kidding. Needless to say the pathetic side of it was I had not gone back due to embarrassment! Real smart ( not ) I know but its amazing what all this weight will do to your mind set *sigh*. I have to go get my labs done again next week before I head up for surgery so I will probably pop in then and see if I can talk to her. So far in the process I havent needed her yet but I have to find out about who can take my drain out down here so will probably have to set up an appointment with her anyways to have that done. My blood work that I had done in June turned out AWESOME. The lab tech said that by looking at the labs he would have never known how heavy I was. I mean how many people do you know with a cholesterol level of 154 and weighs over 380lbs ( at the time)? lol Felicia
