I've been lurking here for several months while I went through my pre-op testing and insurance approval. I think I was afraid to jinx myself by posting anything about surgery before now. So I am happy to announce that I am scheduled October 23rd for Lap RNY with Dr. Jeffrey Lord in Pensacola, FL. Seems somewhat surreal and with just under 5 weeks to go it seems like it's coming fast but at the same time...like it will never get here

Hi Tonya, Right now I'm not doing anything....and since we'll be on a cruise two weeks before surgery, I figure I'll get any 'last meal' desires out of my way then. I have to do a 4 day liquid pre-op diet starting the 19th - I'm NOT looking forward to that!! Best of luck to you on the 23rd as well. Do you have to do a pre-op diet too?
