I know that the second part of it sounds weird but we that have dads can celebrate too. (even if it is to honor their memory) so here is to you - Ann

Topic: RE: I blew day 1 of the platue buster diet already
Thanks Nancy your respone to Kimmie helped me also. I had my surgery 10/18/05 and I have lost 78lbs also. I keep thinking should I have lost more weight by now? , What am I doing wrong? Have I failed ?. But it's like you told Kimmie I am much better off now than last October. I started out at 375Lbs and I was wearing mostly size 32/34 or 26/28, 30, or 24 's only if it ran large. As well as a 48ddd bra. Today I wear a size 18/20 or 2x blouse. Size 22 pants, skirts, & dresses and I wear a 42dd bra. It dawned on me the othe day when I getting dressed to go to work that I haven't comfortably worn a size 22 anything since 1997. That helped me put in all in perspective. Like you I would be disapointed if I didn't lose anymore. But I often think back to the day before my surgery and I still remember the girl I was then. Being the girl I am now has truly been a blessing and I am grateful for it. However the journey isn't over for any of us "October Babies". We will get there.

Kim I did the same thing. I have lost " only lost 78#". I wanted it to hurry & come off so I thought I'd try the diet. I guess if I didn't lose anymore I might be disapointed but I am so much better off now than last October. I agree with the previous post & let your body do it's job.

Vickie you look amazing, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I can't stand it when people behave that way. I've been very lucky to have a lot of support from the people around me, but I know that's not always the case. My best friend actually started to cry the last couple of times we saw each other because she was so happy for me. I've heard stories from a lot of other people who've gotten very different reactions, so I consider myself very blessed. Please don't let anyone get you down. You're doing great and I'm thrilled for you. Hugs, Carol
