Vi..
Incredible for you too...115 lbs is a lot of five pound bags of sugar to carry around..that is they way it helps me to keep it real...like hey could I have walked five miles with all those five lb bags strapped to my back, legs and shoulders...I don't think so...That is cool about the support group...I wish I had a good one to attend but rite now I am so super busy I don't even think I would have the time.
Congrats again on all your losses...

Marcia,
You look GREAT!! What are you doing to get great arms like that????
As for shoes, if you want to kick it up a little bit, you could get a pink or teal colored sandal, I love teal with brown! Have fun!

Topic: RE: Coffee: Yes? No? Caf? Decaf?
An occasional cup isn't going to hurt you. But, remember that coffee (including decaf!!) has LOTS of acid in it, and that is why we are supposed to avoid it. I have a friend who had a bypass four years ago. He drank a couple of cups of coffee a day, and ended up developing an ulcer, and almost died. He was in ICU for a week and ended up not being able to eat any solid foods for 4 months! Now, I'm sure that not everyone is as susceptible to ulcers as he was, and an occasional coffee isn't going to hurt you. Talking to my surgeon and my nutritionist, they both said a once a week latte would be fine (I drink the same as you). But, there are actually REASONS why we're supposed to avoid these things!
btw, caffeine is a dehydrator, so when you drink regular coffee, you're robbing your body of much-needed water!!!
OK, I'm done!

Topic: Size 6 dress, pics
Tomorrow is 8 months for me. My scale said 141 today, so that's 110 lbs. I am turning 30 in August and we are having a party, so I wanted to buy a pretty dress. I ended up finding one that looks perfect, it's a size 6! I have a pic of it at the bottom of my profile. I also took a pic flexing my "muscles" that is just above today's update. I have no idea what kind of shoes to get to go with the dress, so if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. The dress is brown, if you can't tell in the pics.
Thanks for looking!

I take the kirkland brand multi-vitamin energy packets you get at costco. I had one of the big ones get stuck about a month ago and actually went to the dr over it. It hurt so bad I thought something had ripped out. All was well though and I learned to cut my large pills in half with a pill splitter. My lab work has all been perfect too. I can't take too much iron as it will nullify my levoxyl medication for thyroid disease.

I never quit. I drink 2 12oz mugs at home before work and 2 16oz tumblers at work. I've always used splenda and now there is a no-sugar added vanilla coffeemate. Lactose intollerant since about 3 months ago so I've gone from a quad 24oz SF Carmel FF Latte to a triple 8oz SF White Chocolate Soy Latte. Had to go to 8oz because the soy is so gross if you don't drink it right away.

Those 8 months have gone by so fast! Congrats on your awesome progress. This miracle and this chance are definitely a blessing for all of us. I'm down 115 lbs since surgery and down 199 lbs since my all time high when I was weighed in a hospital (at 422 lbs) while I was 11 weeks pregnant (almost 9 years ago). After my son was born, I have no idea how high my weight actually went, but when I joined WW again in 1999 (a year and a half after the baby) I was 414 lbs!
I'm helping run a local support group now and I get so excited about this surgery and seeing the hope in all the new people who come in, I burst at the seams wanting to tell everyone how wonderful this can be! I never in a million years thought I would be where I am today.
Hugs,
Vi

Wow you are so beautiful! I envy all you gals with the beautiful skin. I'll never be able to bare my arms or my thighs I have so much icky sagging skin! I'm OK with it though, I'm much happier where I am now than where I've been -- just wish would somehow snap back on it's on without tons of plastic surgery.
HUGS,
Vi
