Hi Ann, That is such wonderful news. You are doing so well! I wish my surgeon would give us pins, that was very nice of them. I am doing great. I am finally feeling thin. It's great. I would like to at least get to my goal weight of 151, although everyone is telling me not to lose anymore. I dropped another lb. this morning so I am at 158 now. Probably by my wedding day I will be at goal ( keeping fingers crossed ). But, you, you are doing great. I am so proud of you and all my October brother and sisters!! WAY TO GO EVERYONE!! YOU ALL ARE SO BEAUTIFUL!! Erin 310/292/158/151

It was a lot like I imagine heaven to be They do try to feed you every 1/2 hour - you can eat any time you want. It's wacky. If you ever get a chance to do an Alaska cruise, go for it! You'll have a great time - Kellie

You are doing great and making the choices that feel right for you. Your food and water selection is by the book. Believe in you - you are in charge (and doing a darn good job of it). Ann

It sounds a little bit like heaven. Congats on all of the awesome things you got to do without cause to feel uncomfortable. Losing a 1/2 pound on a cruise is definitely note worthy! They usually try to feed you every 1/2 hour! Some day i'd like to do the same. Ann

Topic: 9 month update
Hi everybody. I saw my surgeon today for my 9 month and I have lost a total of 117#'s and and 8 sizes. I am a pretty happy camper. I am not sure where I am going from here but I can't see any reason to change much about how I eat. I like my food selection so why not. I will be over the moon when they get my multiple sclerosis medicine back available so I can start it again and feel better but until then I am really enjoying the re-emergence of me. My doc gives out butterfly pins for 100# loss and I wondered why - I think that it is for the emergence of the "new/ emerging" self. How is everyone else doing? I don't mean in numbers necessarily, I mean feeling about how it is all going. Ann

Topic: Back from Alaska
I had an absolutely fabulous time on the Alaskan cruise that I did with my family, plus a few fun days in Seattle with an old friend after the cruise. For the first time in probably 15 years, I was able to ride comfortably in an airplane seat and I didn't need a seat belt extension. What a pleasure to be able to sit back and actually enjoy the ride - The weather in Alaska was absolutely beautiful - sunny and mid-70s - and we relished every moment. (Especially since the average weather there at this time of year is mid-60s and rainy!) I had my first real wow moment when I on a shore excursion; I was riding a bike down from White Pass in Skagway! It's a 15 mile trip and I did the entire thing without even getting winded. It was such a cool experience that I could not have had before this surgery. The wind on my face and the beauty of the Alaskan scenery truly made me pause and give thanks for the wonderful gift I've been given. In addition to the bike ride, I went on a dog sled ride and also went canoeing - both were a blast! It was so nice to be just like everyone else - having a good time and not worried about whether the life jacket wouldn't fit, or if I would cause the canoe to tip. And the question everyone wants to know - how was the food? It was fabulous. I ate what I wanted, when I wanted, but listened to the old pouch about when it was full. I ate stuff I don't generally allow myself to eat, which was a nice treat. But I have to confess that I'm happy to be back home with my regular routine. Luckily, even with the extra knoshing of delicious yummy food, I managed to lose a 1/2 a pound while I was gone. Not great, but it's better than gaining! I'll include a link to my pictures when I figure out to get them loaded to shutterfly. If anyone is considering an Alaskan cruise, my advice is JUST DO IT! You'll have a great time Kellie
