I do feel so much better and although I'm still not a "normal" size, I'm much happier than I was 148 pounds ago! I do still think about food, but not like I did before surgery. Now I just make a plan for my day in the morning so I get my nutritional needs met. I've learned that if I plan out my day, it's easier to stay on track and make healthy choices.
Best of luck on your continuing journey!

I miss Keke too - I'm a regular exerciser and I liked checking in with her. Perhaps she's on vacation...
Things are going well for me. I've had a great summer, several fun vacations, and lots of "wow" moments. I'm one of the lucky folks that can eat anything without getting sick, although my pouch tells me when I'm full. I eat pretty healthy most of the time, but I allow myself an occasional treat. All in all, I feel fabulous.
How are things going for you???

Hey Kellie I was going to post almost the exact message. Where has everyone gone? I think we are all normal and active now. I am adjusting to my new life. I don't know about you but everyday is a WOW moment. I have never been of "normal" size and its fun to have updated clothes. I find I fix myself up alot more. My niece has updated my profile. She designed it and keeps it in check for me. I am very proud of her work. My niece had the surgery 10 weeks ago. She is doing great. It funny but I have already forgotten some of the stuff she is going thru. Life almost seems normal. I find I know longer think about food. I strive just to make good choices now a days. Good luck. You are doing great. You must feel so much better.
Take care

Everyone needs to vent every now and then. I think it helps when you are able to vent to people who can relate to you. I have my appointment on August 2nd and I've stalled big time. I can't get the scale to budge. I think we need to just quit concentrating on the numbers and focus on the health part of it. All it is is a number. Our success should be measured on how we feel. Enjoy your health. I know I think back on how I felt with diabetes and wondered if I would ever feel good again. I wasn't focused on how much I weighed, I just wanted to have my health back.
Look at your endurance Tanja...7 miles walking that's awesome and look at your sized clothing that's awesome too!! Just try and stay focused on the positive results that this surgery has brought to your life and you'll get to your goal eventually. Congrats on your successes!!

I know what you mean Kellie~I wonder what happened to Keke with her exercise check-in postings. I looked forward to those and it kept me on track. How are things going for you?

That's a real bummer Lisa. I hope your chewable ones taste good enough. If not, I don't know if you bought these particular ones..they are strawberry flavored iron from Bariatric Advantage and they taste pretty good. I'm very particular to tastes and it has to taste good or else we have a problem. I have a real problem swalling pills too..it's almost like I'm scared to swallow them and they never go down!
Take care!
Topic: Nervous
I get very nervous before my appointments at the Bariatric Center.....I was supposed to go last week, but after I gained weight on vacation, I postponed it until tomorrow....
I have only 7 pounds to lose until I hit my goal of "normal weight" for my height...
I have to remember that I started this whole process last year weighing 226 and I am 5'2".....this morning I weighed in at 143....
My starting BMI was 41.3 and my current is 26.1...
Last year I could barely walk a mile on my treadmill and now last week I walked 7 miles for training for the Bix 7 road race.....
I was wearing a size 18/20 Women's size pants and 2X tops last year and now I wear a size 6 or 8 pants and small to medium tops.....what a huge change!
I just get frustrated and discouraged when I can't get to my goal of 136 pounds....and then I feel guilty for "whining" about it when I am so much better off than I was before...I haven't really lost any weight for nearly 2 months now and I need to learn to relax a bit and enjoy my health...
thanks for letting me vent!!!!
