Topic: Hospitalized again
Hello Everyone,
I went back into the hospital last Wednesday night due to a 103 degree fever following my hernia repair. As it turned out, I have a staph infection. They had to place a PICC line. I was finally released from the hospital yesterday, but I'm on a home I.V. for at least four weeks. They are hoping to kill the infection. Unfortunately, it is very likely that the mesh that was placed to help secure the hernia is also infected. If that does not clear out, they will have to go back in and remove the mesh which I hear is not a pleasant thing. In addition, they would have to leave the wound open to heal from the inside out. So, please if you all could just say a little prayer for me I would really appreciate it. Thank you all for your continued support.

Topic: 9 Months Today....woooohooo
o everyone!
I first off want to say how proud I am of each and everyone of you. You all have accomplished so much and you are all beautiful inside as well as outside. *~*HUGS*~* to each and everyone of you!
Second, This is my 9 month anniversary today!! I started this at 310 lbs and I now weight 158! it isn't moving much these days, but I will take the 158 over 310 any day!
I have gone from a 24/26 to a size 6!!! 6?, my gawd at 5'8" I never could even imagine being in a 6. I never thought I would go under a 10!
But I do have to say the best thing about this is not only being healthier, but being able to share my experience with the wonderful people in the October Board. I love each and every one of you!

Topic: RE: No loss in 4 weeks -
Yeah, I think the honeymoon is finally over. Like you, I find that it's easy to eat 1500-1600 calories per day. I think if I want to continue to lose, I'm going to have to find a way to pare that back to 1000-1100 calories per day. I think I can do that if I really back off on the carbs, and up the veggies.
I am very happy with the loss of 143 pounds in 9 months, but I really want to lose more. Hopefully if I buckle down by cutting back on the carbs, increasing the water and continuing to exercise, I'll keep losing. I don't even mind losing slowly at this point, but I would still like to keep losing!
Best of luck to you as well -
Kellie

Hi sweetie you look great by the way. I have to admit that I dont post here much anymore for the reason you stated. Almost are at goal or there. I have moved to the BMI over 50 board where their struggles are only half over. Even though I have lost the same amount or more then most on this board, I still have a long way to go. You guys are still my buds and I love ya all but we are at different points in our journey and although I am very happy for each of you, it gets really down to hear how so many are at goal etc. I know I started heavier and I know all these things, but I found myself becoming very down reading this board every day. First I would be happy to read the post and respond in everyones joy..then have time to think about how I have so much further to go Keep up the great lifestyle and the gift that God gave us all..
Blessings
