Topic: RE: Anyone trained or have done a 5K?
Walking about.com is a great walkers training guide. I used the half marethon training guide and it was great I am going for a full marethon soon. they also have 5 and 10 k guides. if you run then just use thedistance part of thr training.
Mainly, just get out there and walk. do not walk a couple of days befor the race. let your body refual and build back the energy needed to do your best for the race.
Good luck I know you will do great!!

Topic: RE: Scared to regain
Hi Michelle,
I've gone a bit below goal and was told by my nutritionist to add some calories. I've been a little TOO good. My fear is that I'll add carbs and fat and that I'll start gaining instead of maintaining. I'm keeping a very close eye on it. I've added a protein shake made with milk at night time, and I've found that I'm not losing any more.
My nightmare is waking up 20 pounds heavier, although I think it's just my fear of gaining that's keeping me "good". I don't even eat bad stuff. Adding that little pat of butter to my toast isn't going to kill me, but if I lose too much I'll be in trouble.
It's a balance and I'm learning how to juggle. When I figure out the combination, I'll share -- but talk to your nutritionist. They know best.
