Topic: Monday..
Here it is Monday again...and I've been a hurting unit all day. Same pain has returned in my stomach. I'm thinking at this point in time that it is gas pains and constipation issues. How embarassing eh? But the pain is horrific..doubles me over and hurts to breathe in (after the gym and I had a long drive home). I drank some warm peppermint tea tonite (I read that it is a natural remedy and I'm not a fan of prescriptions or doctors). I drank it and I feel a little better..along with a hot bath. At least now, the pain is somewhat manageable. However, if it returns I'm going to resort to taking a vicodin that the ER sent me home with. GRRRRRRRR. Catch 22..if I take it..it causes constipation..on the other hand it will take the pain away. Oh well.
Here's how my day went.....
Breakfast: slim fast low carb shake
Snack:       snack cup of mandarin oranges in light syrup
Lunch:       lowfat cottage cheese/1oz wheat thins
Dinner:      grilled cheese sandwich with lowfat cheese/low cal bread

Vitamins: took them all
Exercise: even though I was in pain I went to the gym anyways..I'm not going to let this keep me down. Did 15 minutes on the eliptical machine/15 min walk/run and then the Migun massage/detox bed 15 minutes

Taking one day at a time.

HI-
I too have regained weight- my lowest was 145 (ENTIRELY too small) and today I am at 178. What I do know is that exercise plays a major part as last summer (145) I worked out at least 3 times per week and walked constantly as I was in school full time and classes were all over the campus. I have gone back to working out- 2 times this week I actually walked 4 miles each day and starting Monday I will return to the gym at least 3 days per week. Like most who have already posted, I am SO afraid of regaining the weight that I lost. My doctor's goal for me was 160, I surpassed that by 15 pounds- I was SO proud! I find that I am most comfortable at 153-158 and I am looking to return there SOON! I know what I have to do- now to just DO IT!

Thanks for allowing me to vent...Keep me in your prayers- only people who LIVE this journery TRULY understand ...

It worked for the most part. At the end of the 5 days I was down to 198.4 from 203.4 but yesterday I ate a whole sleeve of ritz crackers at one sitting and when I weighed myself this morning I was back up to 200.4. So today I'm starting over again; Liquids today and tomorrow.

I lost down to 173 pounds and got back up to 192 and have finally lost back down to 184. It is a constant struggle for me even though I exercise every day. It just seems my body doesn't want to loose any more. Good luck on your quest.

I am so sorry to hear of the ordeal you just went through. I hate emergency rooms. Hope you get to feeling better soon. Do you take magnesium citrate, if not go to your nearest drug store and ask for it. I take 2 pills a day and no longer have a problem with constipation.

Topic: Emergency Room Visit
I haven't posted since Sunday. I went to work on Monday and had a nagging persistent pain on my right side underneath my rib cage. I toughed out work and then I drove home. During the drive home, the pain intensified and brought me to tears (was hurting underneath my rib cage with pain extending to my shoulder)..I was almost doubling over from the pain. When I got home, my husband took me straight to the Emergency Room. I hate going to the doctor and especially to the the ER. Well, they got me in....finally after waiting an hour!!! The nurse started an IV and I told her to go through my hand but insisted on going on the inside of my arm. She dug in there and had no luck and I told her she was done and to go into my hand. She did and boy she got a vein..go figure! The doctor came in and told me it was classic signs of gallbladder disease ****he didn't and wouldn't check anything else****(last year I went in three times to the ER and it was diverticulitis and umm lets see constipation and full of **it) I even told the guy I was having problems with going to the bathroom and feeling bloated, crampy and having those bad pains underneath my rib and to my shoulder. To make a long story short..sorry.....they gave me protonix, a GI ****tail (which was bright green and had a numbing agent),pfenigren, and demerol......and an ultrasound to boot. Results came back negative for gallbladder. They had me so out of it, I couldn't go to work the following day. On my diagnosis, they put abdominal pain with nothing really done. I get so frustrated when dealing with anyone in ER because they don't know how to treat us people with gastric bypass surgery. It's just really sad. They sent me home with vicoden and my bruised up hand and arm and sent me on my way. GRRRRRRRRR. Oh and yes, they sent me home with an enema package and guess what?! That seemed to have solved 80% of my problem..however, I'm still bloated and crampy. Dunno what to do. I haven't exercised since Sunday but I plan on getting back on track tomorrow. The doctor said, "take it easy for a few days". Whatever!! Hopefully you all haven't had to go through this. Very disappointing.

Taking one day at a time.
