Okay, time to brag on ourselves a little bit! Who had WOW moments this past week? Let's share them! I love seeing everyone's progress! For me, Me & hubby went on our usual Saturday morning Garage Sale Date. We pulled up to one & I saw several "Big Girls" coming out with clothes in hand. I got excited & said WooHoo, they have Big Girl clothes. My husband looked at me like I was crazy. I said "What?" He said, "Baby, you don't need Big Girl clothes anymore." I was happy & sad all at the same time! But I did find a great suit & 2 pairs of dress pants, size 14 all for a grand total of $2.25!! I wore the suit today & have gotten so many compliments! Everyone said I look so "thin" in it! Yeah Right!! Okay, gotta get rid of the Big Girl Mentality!! It's hard though!!! Come on out & share your WOW moments! hugz, Gina L

I went to the grocery store tonight and my DH was out when I got home. This meant I had to carry all of the groceries into the house and upstairs to our apt by myself. There were a lot of heavy items, and I dragged them all up here in one shot. When I got inside my apt, I realized that I wasn't having any difficulty breathing or chest pain, and I didn't have to sit down for a few minutes to recover. I sat down long enough to kick off my shoes and then went to the kitchen and put everything away. Only my OH family can understand what a big deal this is. Another great moment happened while I was in the store. I was walking through the aisles and suddenly realized that I wasn't just walking, I was strutting lol. I have so much more confidence now than ever before. It's an amazing feeling. I wish all of you many wonderful WOW moments in the months and years ahead. Carol

How cool Carol! I told a lady here at work that is thinking about the surgery, that I was wearing a size 14 pants. She was so excited for me. I told her that when I told "normal" size women that they looked at me like I was crazy, like so what? I told her that only my OH family & other "big girls" understood me!! Congrats on everyone's WOW's!! Let's keep sharing them! I love seeing everyones proudest moments!! I'll post every Monday! Hugz, Gina L

I had an incredible WOW moment this weekend. I was helping out with the kid's musical at my church, and was wearing the crew outfit of a brightly colored tie-dye, jeans and boots (fun high heel boots, which I couldn't wear 6 months ago!). I was standing in the Narthex talking to friends when my parents walked in. I waved to my mom and she did a double-take! Can you believe that?? My own mother, who has seen me almost every day since the surgery, didn't recognize me!!!! That was the moment when I realized that I had really lost weight! (80lbs today - less than 2 lbs until my BMI is overweight rather than obese!) Congratulations to all of you! We're doing fabulous! Kate Lawson 240/160/150 (Dr's goal)/130 (my goal)

Ok picture this: I'm 31 and my son is 14. We're having a mother son moment driving in the car about rap he was listening to on MY stereo (sigh gotta give in to him sometimes) (ugh). The song he was listening to was saying something about "skirts". He gets this perplexed look on his face and I look at him and tell him a "skirt" is a pretty girl. He looks at me and says "Mom how do you know all these things, slang and stuff?" I tell him I'm only 31 and that most of his friends's moms are in their 40's. He looks at me and says "I know, you don't LOOK like a mom" I pulled over the car and gave him a big hug saying that that was the nicest thing anyone's said to me in a long time
