Six month check up!!

Yeeee haw!!!!!!!!!!! Had my 6 month check up with the surgeon yesterday. I'm actually 6 months and 2 weeks as of today but I like to time my appts with him on the afternoons of the support group meetings. Anyway, he says I'm doing great, said my face color looks good and healthy and is happy with my labs. He asked me if I had plenty of energy and felt good. I told him "heck yes", I feel great and have lots of energy, so much more than I ever had!! According to his scale, a couple of days before surgery I weighed 292 and yesterday weighed 197 (with jeans and sneakers - I like it better on my scale in the morning all nekkid!!), so he records me at losing 95 lbs. I go by what I weighed on the morning of surgery before I left for the hospital, which was 289.5, and then I weighed 192 yesterday morning, so I have a 97.5 lb loss in my book LOL. Whatever!!! Either way, I'm happy as a clam and so thankful that I was finally able to get this surgery! In six months I've gone from 4X and 5X in scrubs to XL, which are baggy already and I'm about to order the Larges. ME in a Large??? Wow! So many changes in these last 6 months - it's all so incredible! So guys, we made it through Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, the Super Bowl, Valentine's Day, St Patrick's Day and Easter! Yippee for us!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and next friday is Cinco de Mayo - well, not such a biggie for me anyway! LOL Congratulations to us all!!! Much love from Miami, Carol
