Subject: Re: WHAT IS THE IMPORTANCE?
Weight loss after gastric bypass usually slows to a stop at 18 months. No one really knows why but your body compensates somehow and the pouch stretches out.

FROM A POST ON THE SC BOARD ...
BRITTY DIDN'T SAY THAT ABOUT THE 18 MONTHS ... DR BYRNE SAID IT IN HIS SEMINAR & SHE JUST RELAYED THE INFO TO ME. HE SAID SOMETHING ABOUT OUR BODIES FIGURING OUT WHAT WE'VE BEEN DOING TO THEM AT ABOUT 18 MONTHS ... BUT HE DIDN'T SAY WHAT THAT MEANT ... LIKE, DOES OUR WEIGHT LOSS STOP OR GET HARDER? ... IS IT EASIER TO GAIN WEIGHT? ... WHAT? I NEED TO E-MAIL HIM & ASK FOR CLARIFICATION.
THANKS DR B ... GOD BLESS YOU ... DAWN & NICK
