Sort of OT but good news!

I went to my police chief today and asked him if he would send me to the police academy to become a special office class I. It is basically a parking enforcement job, with some limited police powers, but it's another stepping stone on my path to becoming a regular cop. He's going to send me and the class starts on May 8. It's only a couple of weeks FT and then I'll be certified. This will also allow me to do someother jobs within the department. Right now I'm a PT dispatcher, but I need to make more money now that my tax office is closed until next year. Hopefully I can go back to the academy for the class II course in August. That will allow me to perform all of the functions of a regular cop and help me in my quest to get hired. I'm in such a great mood right now, and that makes up for the pi$$y one I've been in for the last couple of days. A very happy and excited Carol in NJ.
