I can. Is this OK? I just ate 1 1/2 deviled eggs in like 3 minutes. I rarely ever get that stuck feeling anymore. The great news is I still get full on just a small portion of food. When I am done, I am done, no questions about it. Jenn, who must be doing something right! 265/174/145

Oh, me too on the cold food. It was also a HUGE pain in the butt for everyone to be done and me having barely made a dent in a 10th of the food they had eaten. Not to mention the embarrassment (and pain) of eating too fast while out to eat and having to stand over a restaraunt toilet for 15-20 minutes wondering if it was going up or down. Jenn 265/172.4/145

Yes I can eat faster, but I can also eat more than I should be able to. I can almost finish a small TV dinner 9oz. NOT GOOD!! I can also eat weigh to much sweets etc. Deb

Deb~ I don't think you are eating too much. Those TV dinners are 40% water. I ate 2 pieces of pizza last night, plus the cheese stuffed end crust of one and a little dessert. I felt like it was too much in my mind, but physically I felt fine. Not that I advocate eating pizza! LOL we get it about once a month. I eat sweets just about every night, but I am following a plan that allows that. I chucked my Dr.s plan, because it allowed way too may carb encounters for my body to tolerate. I confine my carbs, other than low carb veggies to one meal and I can have my cake/candy/ice cream/fruit/pasta and eat it too! Almost 40 pounds since doing this beginning Jan. 21, so it is working for me! Jenn BTW. While most are on 2-4 oz. at 6 weeks, my surgeon said a cup, so I guess my pouch is bigger..maybe yours is too?

It's a great feeling to be able to eat faster isn't it!!! I haven't pushed it cuz I'm a big chicken, but I do eat a little faster. I had asked my friend Sylvia last time I saw her at the support group meeting if she eats faster and she said "oh yes"!!! She had her surgery in June, so she's one of my go-to friends for my questions!!!!!!!!!!! So after that I tried eating a little faster and so far so good. I've noticed it depends on the food too, like yogurt or soup no problem, but I'm a little leary of eating something more dense like chicken faster. Yes, I'm able to get full on that small amount of food still too!!!! Thankfully!!!! And being 6 months out now, I totally know my pouch's "full" signals, and "hey you're almost full" signals and "I don't like this particular food - stop immediately" signal. It's pretty amazing how this little fella rules around here So Jenn, who is most definitely doing something right - have a wonderful Easter weekend and keep doing it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Onward and downward as I say!!! Much love from Miami, Carol 289.5/194.5/145 - onward and downward!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Carol~ How wonderful that you have someone that you can go to for advice! While I am not gulping down my food, like I am sure I used to, I can eat at a pretty good clip. I do go slower on denser foods, but I can still get it down faster and I like that. I KNOW when I put a bite in my mouth if I want (full) it or not. I cannot tell you the number of times that I have spit out that final bite, because I KNEW that I was done. Yup, I think I am doing something right and I am enjoying it emmensely. I am eating foods I love and losing weight. WHo could complain about that? Now, I eat higher fat and sugar than most probably do, but I have lost almost 40 pounds since Jan. 21 following this plan, which is NOT my Dr.s plan. His had too many occassions to encouter carbs for my bodies well being. So not I confine my carbs to one meal a day and lose well! ((HUGS))) Jenn 265/172.4/145, on a losing streak....I'll take it!
