I am going on the 19th for my 6 month checkup. My highest weight was 298 now 229 hoping for 150. My weight loss is also slow. I thought more exercise would help but I"m walking 2 miles a day and still losing very slowly but I guess some is better than none plus I feel so much better. Keep up the good work and good luck on reaching your goal. Gail

11 days until my 6 mo appt. I was on a major slow pace until this week, I started getting on the treadmill and now just since Monday, I've lost 4 lbs! I started out at 323 am now 226 (by my scale) and my goal is 150. So only 76 more pounds to go!!! Wow that sounds great! Thanks Dennis - stay positive, you'll get there, just look at where you've come from!! Mary

Dennis~ The 24th is my 6 month surgiversary. I go for my check on the 26th. This morning I cracked -90 pounds. I have only lost 4.6 pounds so far this month, but I went on vacation for 10 days to Disney World and ate as I pleased. I came back at 179.2 which was 1.2 pounds higher than when I had left. Not too shabby in my opinion. But back on Carb addicts for 2 days and I am down to 175 already! I'd like to lose 5.4 pounds by the 24th, so I can have a 10 pound loss for the month, but if I don't, oh well. I expect to break into the century club next month. I have 30 pounds to my goal and then I will re-evalutate whether or not I'd like to lose more. Jenn 265/175/145

My 6 month is in two weeks, but that's the day my husband has his surgery, so I plan to see the doc for my check-up when Adam goes for his 1 week. So, far the loss is 87 lbs, far exceeding my expectations. I've been fortunate to not stall yet, knock on wood. I have had a couple of weeks where I had a very small loss or a small gain. Would love to lose 34 lbs. more. Hopefully, by my 30th b-day in August. Marcia

Dennis, Well my 6mos. is actually April 18th...but my appointment is not until April 24th at 2:30 PM in the afternoon. Four days after your appointment Dennis. My weight loss too is slowing. I'm guessing that increasing my protein and exercising more often will help restart/speed up my weight lost. I saw a medical article or brochure stating that almost everyone who has had WLS will loss 75% of the weight after surgery. I was 274/276 and now 208. It seems that you all have figured out how to set your goal weights. Just maybe Dennis and you all could help me with a goal that is realistic to discuss at my appointment. Thanks for making me think about this seriously (that is my goal weight). Dennis you rock...you're doing a super job and are preparing for your appointment too. You seem to be a good planner and getting to your goal is going to be easier since you have planned for it. Have a great 6mos. visit, Von (nickname)
