Incision sensitivity

Hey All! For those of you how had open RNY or even lap, do you have senistivity at your incicsion sight. I go to the doctors next week and was gonna ask my surgeon then but thought I would see if anyone else experiences the same thing. My incision gets very itchy sometimes and I find when I get back from the gym and have used the tummy muscles my incision is rather sore. Is that normal? Kelli

I had lap and then later on the same day went back in for open. The long incision itches frequently and is a bit sensitive. None of the smaller ones bother me at all. The lower half of the long incision is flat so that when I run my hand over it there is no ridge at all, the upper half has a ridge and that is the part that really gets to itching. Not sure if thats normal or not. I have done some exercising and don't feel any soreness but I don't go to a gym and probably not doing a work out like you are.
