head hunger
I have been struggling with head hunger ALOT recently. But, I've been trying to look at it positively. Since I KNOW that it's not physical hunger, it's been a lot easier for me to identify what the triggers are - boredom, depression, insecurity, TV, etc. When I'm hit with a craving, I try to take the time to figure out what the trigger is, rather than try to immediately relieve the craving. It's been quite a time of self-discovery for me, and I'm starting to understand WHY all of my attempts to lose weight failed in the past! So, while I'm still struggling with the cravings, I feel like I am now better equipped to deal with the underlying issues and address them...and hopefully, in time, the cravings will start to subside. In the meantime, I totally empathize with you...just remember - we now have the tools to take control of our eating habits and live healthier lives!!

Kim...with the plateau buster diet...you are drinking so much water...that you don't have the head hunger...I am putting crystal light in the water...also at night I make it with a lot of crushed ice...and eat the ice......but it is working...down 3 1/2 pounds in 3 days...not to shabby...what I worry about is when I start bringing the carbs back in..will I regain it ...so will only bring in good carbs...veggie...fruit... good luck...and it does work... I'm right there with you on problems with head hunger. I've learned enough to be able to distinguish head hunger from real hunger, which has been helpful. When the head hunger gets really bad, I sometimes drink 8-16 ounces of water to fill up my pouch. Sometimes that turns off my head hunger because my pouch is full. But it doesn't always work...
Good luck with your battle - I'm sure you'll win!!!
