Ever Get Stuck on a Certain Food?

I swear, I think I am addicted to cantaloupe! I guess it could be worse! I think it's because I can tolerate it so well & it helps get things "moving". I ate a 12 oz container of it for lunch....where did I put that??? My hubby said he remembers doing the same thing with certain foods. If you tolerate it & don't get it hung up & it's not overly terrible for you, he says it just seems easy to eat that & nothing else! I honestly think I could live on that & cheese! Luckily it's high in Vit. A & C, potassium, low in fat & calories, but ther's about 13 gms of carb per cup. Just wondering if I'm crazy or does anyone else get stuck on one thing like this? YES! First it was Garlic Parmesan Tilapia, then tuna fixed several different ways, now it is a yummy stew recipe. I'll post it. I can't get enough of it right now. Jenn 265/177.8/145 A Bully Good Stew 1/4 c favorite steak sauce 11/2 Tbl of chicken bouillon 1 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper 1/4 tsp SSweet (or your sweetener of preference to equal 1 tsp sugar) 1/2 cup ho****er 3 lbs chicken thighs 1 lb lean stewing beef, cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes 1 lg onion, chopped 1 lg bay leaf 1 cup celery, sliced 1 can Hunt's Petite Diced Tomatoes (and juice) 14 oz pkg frozen, cut up green beans 1/8 cup Thick n' Thin or cornstarch Combine "steak sauce", bouillon cubes, salt, pepper, sugar substitute and ho****er in crock pot. Stir well. Add remaining ingredients, except flour. Cover and cook on LOW setting for 7-10 hours or on HIGH temp for 4 hours. Before serving, remove chicken thighs, removing skin and bones and returning to crock pot and stir well. May add Thick n' Thin to thicken the gravy: Make a smooth paste of Thick n' Thin and 1/8 cup of juices from stewand 1/8 cup tap water. When smooth, add to crock pot. Cover and cook on HIGH until thickened. Remove and discard bay leaf before serving. -- -- -- --

Sounds yummy Jenn! When you say steak sauce, are you talking A-1, Heinz 57 types? What tastes best? I am gonna have to rely on crock pot a lot in the near future since my daughters both moved out! (Yay) Hugz, Gina L

I have completely fallen in love with my protein ball mix. I keep refining it every time I make it. I think I may have found the best mix yet!! I do try to ration myself to 1-2 a day. I do love them. Ann

Hi Ann -- could you post your recipe for those protein balls?? I've tried so many different ones, and cannot find one that I really like. Thanks!

Gina I know what you mean, most definitely, ever since surgery, I CRAVE mexican. Anything mexican. My absolute favorite meal is either Healthy choice or Smart Ones santefe style rice and beans. Oh my goodness, that stuff is soooo yummy! Kelli

I am definitely stuck on string cheese and my protein shake. I have at least 2 protein shakes a day and string cheese usually makes up my breakfast and lunch. Everyone at work always teases me because they say the only thing they ever see me eat is string cheese and jerkey. I used to be addicted to hard boiled eggs mixed with mustard, but I just wore myself out. I was always that way before surgery though.
