Well guys... there are some goods and some bads. I didnt drink lasst night so YIPPIE me! I was tempted but i didnt do it. However when we went to dinner I had 1 french fry and a tiny bit of an onion ring. So I guess you can say I cheated which is why when I stepped on the scale this morning and didnt loose that 1 pound I wanted to loose I wasnt shocked. Although a french fry and a bite of an onion ring shouldnt mess me up that bad. But I was at least the exact same. I was 214 even this morning. So hopefully tomorrow it will be 213. Although that comes to my next problem. My fiance and I are going to a movie today and my one vice since surgery has been popcorn. I could sit here and try and say that I wont have even one kernal but that would be a lie. So what I will promise is that we will get a small and I will only have a couple baby handfuls. So I guess if I am not 213 tomorrow we will know why. Anyway thanks for listening. Have a great day! Jenn

Great job on not drinking - I know how hard that can be. I went to happy hour with my co-workers yesterday - it was hard to stand around with my water, while they were drinking, but I did it. A quick question about the plateau buster thing you're doing. Do you have to do 5 small protein only meals per day, PLUS another 45 grams of protein through supplements? If so, what are you using for the supplements? I usually mix my whey protein powder w/ 1% milk, but milk isn't on the list of "approved" foods for the plateau buster. Not sure I could drink the stuff if its just mixed with water. Thanks for any info you can offer - I'm thinking about doing the plateau buster too, but want to make sure I'm doing the right thing. Good luck on Day 7 - I'll look forward to seeing your update tomorrow Kellie

I'VE MIXED THE POWDERED PROTEIN - BOTH FLAVORED & UNFLAVORED - IN COFFEE & COFFEE IS ON THE LIST, MS KELLIE ... I'M GOING TO THE GROCERY STORE THIS WEEKEND & I'M STARTING THIS PLATEAU BUSTER ON MONDAY. ACTUALLY, IT'S JUST GETTING THE CARBS OUT OF OUR DIET & GIVING OUR BODIES A TON OF PROTEIN WHICH IT REALLY NEEDS ANYWAY, SO THIS LOOKS GREAT. HERE'S A BIG "WAY TO GO" FOR ALL WHO ARE GONNA TRY THIS! BE SURE & POST! GOD BLESS YOU DAWN & NICK

The protien power that I use is actually one that mixes with water. Its a fuzzy navel flavor so I dont have to mix it with milk. But I know that Milk is ok because its all protein so even though its not on the list its fine. I am glad that I have inspired so many to do this buster! It really has worked for me like I have said and I will update tomorrow and hopefully be down that last pound to have lost 100 pounds before my 6 month mark. Let me know how you do with it! Jenn

What kind of protein power are you using? I'm guessing it's orange-flavored (fuzzy navel!), so I'd be willing to try this. Also, where can you buy it? I have GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, Walmart, etc., in my area. Thanks for any additional info you can offer - I appreciate it Kellie

Actually the one I am using is from a special store in my area and I have no idea where they order it from but I have never seen it anywhere else. The brand name is Nectar. They aslo have a lemonade one, a fruit punch one, and a couple other fruity flavors but the fuzzy navel is my fave. Hope that helps.

Try www.vitalady.com. for the fuzzy navel protien powder. That is where I got mine. They have a good selection of different flavors. I had my surgery on Oct. 5 2005 and I have lost 95 lbs. I still have more to lose and don't want it to stop. I have hit a small plateau also and am trying to increase my protien and water intake and my exercising. I would have the surgery again in a heart beat. I am off almost all of my diabetis meds. amd my high blood pressure meds. and feel great. This is great to talk to others that had their surgery Oct. 2005. :-

Hi all - Just found this October '05 board - nice to meet you all! I'd like to try the plateau buster. Could someone fill me in? Also, can you do it without any powders? I'd like to just do it with "regular" food if that's possible. Thanks in advance! ~Tiffany
