Ok, today I experienced something that I have never experienced before. Not sure if it has anything to do with surgery or what but I got scared. hard to explain this so it may be long and I am sorry. Now I ate or drank nothing out of the ordinary but I was standing in my co-workers office just chatting. All of a sudden, I got this overwhelming surge of cold sweats and dizziness. I could not stand and could not focus on anything. Feeling like I was about to pass out, I sat down in the chair. My co-worker was standing right in front of me talking to me but I could not hear her. It was like she was talking in a tunnel. I felt as if I was going to throw up (never did). It lasted about 5 minutes and it was gone. But my ears felt like they were burning and my face felt tingly afterwards. Since, I ate nothing different or drank anything different, what do you think happened? Could this have been a sign of dehydration? I don't think my blood sugars dropped because I know how that feels and this was completely different. This was a first for me today. I am not sure who I scared more, myself or my co-worker. All I know is if it happens again, I will be going directly to the ER because it was very scary. Any thoughts? Thanks Kelli

Thank you Dennis and LisaMarie for responding. My doctor said that most likely it was sue to being dehydrated and to make sure I drink more liquids. Although on Friday I did drink some liquids, I did not drink nearly what I should have. That in combination with having bathroom issues caused dehydration. I tell ya it scared me enough that I have made sure to drink all my liquids today. Whew don't want that to happen again! So note to everyone-make sure you get your liquids in everyday, NO EXCUSES! =) Kelli
