Today is my 5 month anniversary! Happy anniversary to all who share my day! When I stepped on the scale this morning, I weighed 169.6 - so, I've now lost just over 70 lbs (which was my goal for March, so I'm ahead of my "schedule"), and am officially at my lightest weight as an adult. Plus, yesterday I went out and bought my first pair of REGULAR size jeans (14P) since JUNIOR HIGH!!!! More than 20 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay!!! (You can't see it, but I'm doing a happy dance right now, wearing my new jeans!!) Hope the rest of you find reasons for your own happy dances today. (As a bonus, it burns calories!!!) Kate 240/169.6/150 (surgeon's goal)/130 (my goal)

Kate~ Today is my surgiversary too! I have lost 85.4 pounds so far with (atleast) 34.6 to go. I may be happy there, who knows! I broke into a new decade this morning which made me so happy! Congrats on how far you have come! Are you finding the weight loss is slowing down? I "only" lost 11.8 pounds this month. "Slow" compared to the previous months. Jenn 265/179.6/145

Wow, Jenn, you've come along much faster than me! but, I've learned not to compare my weight loss too much to others. (someone always ends up feeling as if they're not successful - usually me!) Yes, the weight loss has certainly slowed down...i think I've lost about 7 lbs this month. Honestly, though, I'm actually a little bit glad about that...I feel like my body is able to keep up with the changes that are happening to me a little bit easier than before. OK, there are days when I wi**** was still melting off of me, but I keep reminding myself that I didn't gain 120 lbs overnight, and it's not going to come off that way, either. Plus, I remind myself that I'm not on a diet, I'm learning how to life a new lifestyle, and I'm thinking that in the long run a slower loss will be better for my body. have a fabulous day! Kate

I am really getting ansy about the slow loss...but hey....if it goes 3 pounds a month for the time it takes me to get to goal so be it...but I wi**** was faster...I am at 226...want to be at 180...so hope it continues to move, but a bit faster...
