Question of the Day...
Have you inspired anyone in your life to either have surgery, get on a diet, or just be healthier in general?
My fiance has lost 45 pounds since January because he started going to the gym with me and just in general eating better. Now when we go out to eat he orders soup and salad and thats it. He even switched to light beer... for those beer men out there you know what a change that is! Other than that one lady at work actually had the surgery after I did because my results were so well and things went smoothly for me. Also the ladies in my office were inspired to start our own version of the biggest loser. I bring my very high tech scale from home every thursday and they all weigh in and pay 2 dollars a week. At the end of the month whoever has lost the most weight wins the pot. So far the average montly loss for them is about 5 pounds so thats not too bad. Anyway let me know if anyone has been inspired by you?

I believe I have changed the thinking in many people. I had friends and family so far against me having the surgery to now my biggest supporters. Also, for the better-My husband for one, if eating better and has lost 20 pounds. My co-workers when they need inspiration on their diets come ask me how much weight I have lost. and I because of my results my sister-in-law and her sister have been talking about having the surgery.

My entire family is eating healthier. Now we don't have to have the potatoes or rice with our meal. There is no soda in our house. I still have juice around for them, but mainly they drink water, or even my crystal light!
My husband had cut back his portions. He realizes he doesn't need to eat two hamburgers. He has dropped about 15 pounds!
It's just good knowing that by me getting healthy, my family is too.
Good Question!

I know that from my success I have inspired people. But I don't want anyone to have the surgery because of how I am doing. I would feel so bad if something terrible would happen. My lovely niece has decided to have this done. She has 4 children and I know she would benefit greatly, I just hope her decision is from her heart and not what she sees from me. Does that make sense?

Yes, in my house everyone is eating better, using the treadmill often and just more aware of what they are putting in their mouths. Before my 10 year old daughter eats anything she will ask me the nutriotinal info of it. They continue to snack once in a while with chips and soda, but more often they choose the popcorn or the cheese sticks{so i have to hide them now lol} My 14 year old who is an athlete has always been a good eater and even he has changed alot of what he eats. My husband is also eating better although he is the more stubborn of them all. He totally refuses to give up or cut down on his rice {thats my puerto rican husband for ya!} But at least there are beans in it. Also we have gone from eating pasta 3-4 times a week to more protien based meals. It has totally made a positive impact on the whole family!
