re: Down 112lbs in 5 months
Hi all,
I've been so busy I haven't been able to get online, now I have a few moments to say hi to all. Hope all is well with everyone.
I went for a follow-up visit last week. I am down 112lbs since my sugery on 10-18-05. I feel great and am doing great. Except I still can't eat all my protein. My liquid intake isn't that great either. I'm still getting full easy, whether I eat my 2 oz or drink, half the time I skip a meal.
I had my cousins wedding this past weekend and I wore a nice outfit that I got so many compliments on. It was a size XL, who would have thought that I would have been wearing an XL, not me that's for sure. The food was good and I kept to my diet. I had 1 hors d'ouveres. Then I had a bite of salad, a bite of turkey and prime rib, a teaspoon of mashed potatos and some veggies and no dessert. When I got home I had my dessert. I think I did well.
I will try to get online more and chat with everyone.

Lisa, that is so good for you that you have lost so much weight. I'm so jealous though. I looked at your profile but you haven't written any real specifics. I had my surgery done 10/05/05 and i'm still struggling between 65-70 lbs. How in the world did you loose so fast? I thought I was doing well with my diet but apparently not well enough. Every one that I know that had their surgery done around that same time as me has lost atleast 25-30 lbs more than me. And I do mean everyone. I'm really anxious to know how you're doing it. I started at about 295 and now I fluctuate between 228-233. Please e-mail me...........................Shana
I'M EXACTLY WHERE YOU ARE MS SHAUNA ... SURGERY ON 10/28 ... HAVE LOST 66 #s ... STARTED AT 279.80 (DON'T WANT TO SAY "280" ) ... &, FOR THE LAST 2 MONTHS, I HAVE STRUGGLED SO MUCH ... STALLS & VERY, VERY SLOW LOSING ...
I'M WATCHING JENNIFER G WITH HER STALL BUSTING EFFORTS ... I'M THINKING ABOUT USING PURE MEAT PROTEIN/NOOOOOO CARBS (LIKE AN ATKINS INDUCTION PHASE WITHOUT THE SALADS) & ... I HAVE ADDED MY BIKE & AM WAITING TO RECEIVE SOME EXERCISE VIDEOS (OUR MUSC NUTRITIONISTS SAID THAT EXERCISE IS A MUST AT THIS POINT AS OUR BODIES HAVE PROBABLY USED UP A LOT OF OUR MUSCLE MASS AS FUEL ... YEAH, IT "EATS" ITSELF WHEN WE DON'T GET ENOUGH PROTEIN ... YUCK) SO THE EXERCISE IS TO BUILD UP MY MUSCLE MASS AGAIN WHICH SHOULD HELP ME BURN CALORIES FASTER & MORE CONSISTENTLY.
SO, I'M RIGHT THERE WITH YOU BEING A SLOW LOSER ... GREAT IN THE BEGINNING & THEN I HIT A HUGE WALL.
