Hello October peeps...I was thinking when next October comes...and the newbies come on the board...where will we be? Ok, the question of the day is most say we lose the most weight the first 6 months after the surgery....do you agree or not? Give an example? I go first.......I don't agree...I think it will slow down..but if we use this TOOL like we are supposed to it will get to the weight we are supposed to be and level off...next person, please step up to the question board..... Dennis-- I agree! I think that we are capable of losing weight for the first year if we use the "tool" correctly and exercise as instructed... finda nessy

I've seen people on the main message boards who have lost up to 2 years after! I think if we keep at it, we can continue for a long time, just not as fast as it was in the beginning!

Vi is right, we will be able to use this tool as long as we need it. But only if we do not abuse it early on, (i.e. over fill it). The weight will slow down but We can still use the tool. Deb 392/284/180

I agree with the rest of you all. I feel that we will always have this tool and it will work for us if we don't stray from the plan. I've read where people longer than 6 months out are still losing weight. Maybe it will be slower but we can still lose. Great question, Dennis. Fran

My doc told me I will have a good 12 months of losing. It will slow down, but it will still be easy to lose. After that, I believe we will still be able to lose, it will just be a lot harder. Marcia

My doc said the first 18 months are usually good for the rapid weight loss. After that it gets harder, so we all need to work as hard as we can to lose the majority of it now. I've been bouncing up and down by 3lbs for the past few weeks and it's driving me crazy. I need to start seeing some results again soon. Carol
